Job Titles:

Alex joined CCS Insight in 2022 with the responsibility of conducting quantitative and qualitative research and preparing research reports. He graduated from the University of Leeds with a BSc in Economics, including an exchange year at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Throughout his degree, Alex undertook multiple research projects, including a dissertation on Japanese robotics and their effectiveness at mitigating the impact of ageing on the labour force.
Ben has over 25 years' experience in the mobile sector. As Chief Analyst he oversees our research and leads initiatives such as our annual Predictions event. As CMO, he focusses on building brand awareness and supporting the growth of the business. He has held positions at Gartner, Mobile Streams, Lucent Technologies, and Vodafone, where he was involved in the launch of SMS and cellular data. In 2021 he was ranked as one of the top five tech analysts in the US and Europe by Apollo Research. Ben is the founder and co-curator of the Mobile Phone Museum, a non-profit initiative to safeguard a vast collection of phones and support education about the technology.

Bola has over 25 years of expertise spanning engineering, software development and IT analysis. She is the founder of Creative Intellect Consulting, and has worked at MWD Advisors and Ovum. Bola is a Chartered Engineer and has industry experience of application development and network computing in several sectors. She has worked as a senior software developer for Reuters and a chemical and process control engineer for Air Products. As an analyst, Bola has built a wide portfolio of product evaluations, strategy reports and competitive analysis reports. She is regularly sought to provide input into and drive supplier and product selection processes.

Clive is a technology consultant and entrepreneur. He started his career as a developer in digital agencies before founding his own consultancy in 2002. More recently, he has delivered programmes to improve user experiences and so enhance business effectiveness and customer engagement. His clients range from start-ups to global brands in a variety of sectors. He has a passion for innovation and technology that provides sustainable benefits for businesses and their customers.
Emily joined the publishing team at CCS Insight in 2022 after graduating from Oxford University with a BA in English Language and Literature.
Emma joined CCS Insight in late 2021 and has a background in marketing, events, social media management and PR. Prior to joining the team, Emma was part of the awards department at Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, managing the accounts of clients such as Netflix, Spotify, Oppo and Epic Games. They have also worked as account manager for several central London PR agencies, handling press releases, social media accounts and events coverage for several high-profile clients. They hold a BA in Film and Television Production from the University of West London.
Geoff was appointed CEO in early 2021, after establishing and leading our successful Americas business from the California office. He has 20 years' experience in the technology sector, including seven years in Silicon Valley. He contributes to our research in several areas, including macro technology trends, mobility and semiconductors. A well-known member of the analyst community, he provides regular commentary to leading news organizations such as Reuters, the Financial Times and The Economist.

James has researched global technology markets since 2016, specializing in consumer electronics, entertainment content and education technology. He previously conducted research in the consumer and public sector technology markets. His research exposure has spanned nascent, established and evolving product areas, providing a strong grounding in all stages of product uptake. James holds an MSc in International Business from the University of Nottingham.

James focusses on the computing infrastructure that powers enterprise workloads spanning public, hybrid and private cloud platforms. His research remit also includes emerging technologies such as quantum computing and networks. Prior to joining CCS Insight, James was most recently a research analyst at 451 Research, part of S&P Global Market Intelligence, and has previously worked as a journalist covering enterprise technology.
Jeremy has worked in the telecommunications industry for over 30 years. He has spent most of this time as an analyst, but he also worked as head of market planning at mobile satellite services company ICO, leading a team responsible for market research, forecasting, and competitor analysis. Jeremy also represented ICO within the GSMA, where he was instrumental in establishing the Satellite Interest Group.

Jon is a sales specialist with a strong background in managing large global accounts within marketing services and events industries. He previously worked with a range of businesses in multiple industries, creating creative and engaging experiences for their target markets. Jon has experience with both long-term retained and new accounts, and has fostered close business relationships with customers to provide the best possible service while consistently exceeding client expectation and business goals. He is now focussed on developing the sales team within CCS Insight to deliver strong and sustainable growth.

Jordan joined CCS Insight in 2022 with responsibility for the preparation of research reports and conducting quantitative and qualitative research. Prior to joining, he spent time as a customs control operator for Europe's largest freight forwarder, DB Schenker, following a role as a systems analyst for a cloud and virtualization software provider, supporting client consulting within their IT and operational departments. Jordan graduated from Swansea University with a BSc in Business Management and Entrepreneurship.
Kane has been researching various global technology industries since 2019 and joined CCS Insight in 2022, after roles as an analyst in the professional audiovisual, workplace collaboration, and media and entertainment industries. His research has spanned emerging and established product areas, and has given him familiarity with many market segments and business models. Kane holds a BSc in Economics from Nottingham Business School.

Kat joined CCS Insight as a member of the publishing team in 2021, after completing an MPhil in Modern European History from the University of Cambridge. She also received a BA in History from Cambridge in 2020.

Kester has more than 15 years' experience in the mobile industry and curates our research into consumer and connectivity services. He is an informed commentator on network operator strategy, European markets, telecom mergers and acquisitions, 5G networks and regulation. He is frequently quoted in industry publications and national media. Kester joined CCS Insight in 2010 from Nokia, where he held the position of market analyst. He was previously a senior research analyst with Informa Telecoms and Media.

Leo‘s research focusses on wearables, virtual reality and augmented reality, and other connected devices. Prior to joining CCS Insight, he worked in BT's Global Services division in analyst and consultant relations, and previously worked with Huawei on a work experience programme based in Shenzhen. Leo is especially interested in technology related to health and fitness and is a keen runner in his spare time. He holds a BA in Geography from the University of Oxford.

Luke joined CCS Insight in 2022 and is responsible for developing research methodologies within the business. Prior to joining the company, Luke spent time as an analyst for Omdia and Futuresource Consulting, and has developed his expertise in a variety of technology market segments in the media and entertainment and consumer electronics industries. Luke holds a BSc in Industrial Economics from the University of Nottingham.

Marco joined CCS Insight in February 2022 and is responsible for the development of new business. He is a natural networker and speaks a variety of European languages as well as Mandarin Chinese. Before joining CCS Insight Marco worked in insurance and a marketing agency, giving him a wide and diversified set of skills and professional background. Probably due to his academic background in anthropology, Marco's focus in new business is the people that make up the companies in his portfolio and how to always cover their needs.
Maria has over 10 years' leadership expertise within clinical and biopharmaceutical research. With a BSc in psychology and previous experience as a business analyst in the financial sector, she has a strong attention to detail and a sharp analytical mind. Maria set up her own business as a freelance research analyst, regularly providing analysis and review for software development companies before joining CCS Insight in 2022.

Marina has an extensive background in market analysis and forecasting. Before joining CCS Insight in 2012 to develop our wide-ranging forecast portfolio and methodology, she was part of Nokia's global strategic intelligence team, building market forecasts for consumer mobile and Internet services. Prior to that, she delivered market and competitive intelligence to Nokia's mobile phones business at a time when Nokia was the global market leader. In addition to more than 10 years in technology, Marina has experience from a variety of industries and markets. She holds an MSc in finance, and an MBA.
Martin holds a BSc in electrical and electronic engineering from the University of Bristol and an MBA from City University in London. He was at Ovum for 17 years, where he built up the mobile practice, was director of research and established the Wireless Intelligence joint venture with the GSMA. At CCS Insight, Martin is chief operating officer and leads research into the Internet of things and machine-to-machine connectivity.
Michael is an entrepreneur with considerable experience of leading acquisitions, company restructuring and start-ups in the wireless, telecom and electronics industries, including IPOs in the UK and Hong Kong. He has experience in all major world markets, particularly Europe, India and the Asia-Pacific region. He was managing director of Bush Radio and vice president of Champion Technology Holdings, a global telecommunications company, where he was responsible for 51 countries. Michael also has extensive experience of the leisure and entertainment industries.
Natalja joined CCS Insight in 2022 after working in accounting roles at several media and technology companies.
Nat joined the CCS Insight publishing team in March 2021 as part of a placement with her university. She is currently studying for a BA in English at the University of Exeter and working on CCS Insight's social media platforms, predominately Twitter and LinkedIn.

- Senior Analyst, Data and Consumer Research
Parul is an analyst with experience in business intelligence reporting, market research, sales operations and pipeline analytics. She has worked with multiple businesses in several industries, including Innovid, IBM, Datamonitor and WNS. In her previous roles she provided practical, decision-making data, involving the creation of standard metrics, analysing trends and offering data-driven insights.

Richard has over 20 years' experience in market analysis and research, specializing in telecom networks. He started his career researching telecom trends for a business conference company before moving into an analyst role, firstly with Infonetics Research and more recently with IHS Markit and Omdia, where he was Associate Director of Research for Mobile Networks. Richard leads our research into 5G infrastructure, from the radio access network to the transport network. He has presented and moderated panels at a range of industry events, acted as judge on awards panels, and is widely quoted in technology and mainstream media.
Rob joined CCS Insight in 2008. As director of publishing, he has overall responsibility for all publications, including research reports, presentations and other material. He also manages the corporate content management system, an online repository of more than 4,000 research items. Rob has over 30 years' experience in publishing. He came to CCS Insight from Gartner, where he was a senior business writer.
Romina became part of the CCS Insight team in April 2016, having previously worked for an online travel resource, publishing travel stories and insights into destinations around the world. Prior to that, Romina studied tourism management at the University of Surrey and also worked in event management as part of her course.
Shaun founded CCS Insight in 1993, and he and his team have built the business into one of the world's best analyst houses. Earlier in his career, Shaun was European account director for Motorola when it led the European market, and he has held senior roles in digital markets in the UK, Europe and the US. Shaun was recently appointed Chair of Judges for the GSMA's GLOMO awards until 2021. He has also been a judge for the KPMG Mobile Start-Up of the Year awards in the UK. He can regularly be seen interviewing and moderating discussions with global technology leaders and CEOs, and is often quoted in the media.

Simon leads CCS Insight's device supply chain and channel research, having joined from Futuresource Consulting, where he led the company's research team as Director of Research. Simon has successfully delivered many large custom and continuous research programmes to technology firms during his 20-plus years in the industry. Additionally, he has expertise in several consumer electronics and media markets. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management from Lancaster University.

Wayne has over 12 years' experience covering mobile devices, wireless technology and associated supply chains. With a career spanning two "G" transitions (from 3G to 4G, and 4G to 5G), he is a leading industry voice in cellular technologies, the evolution of the mobile phone and changing user behavior. Wayne joined CCS Insight after starting with smartphone pioneers such as Symbian and progressing to market intelligence firms including iSuppli. He has written multiple white papers on cellular technology and is a frequent contributor to media such as the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, New York Times, Washington Post and Bloomberg.
Will is responsible for the company's video output. He oversees the shooting and editing of our promotional and research-orientated videos, as well as attending key events such as IFA, CES and MWC to produce video content for our blogs and social media feeds. He has also worked on specific projects such as our blog series on 5G services around the world.
