Job Titles:
- Exposure Management Analyst
Alex joined Dale Underwriting Partners in May 2022, having previously worked in Catastrophe Modelling and Aggregates over a range of different classes. Alex has worked in the market for 10 years, starting at a well-known 3rd party company and moving to a large Lloyds syndicate where he led the Aggregates team as a manager.
Outside of work, he has a keen interest in music and likes darts, football and socialising with friends and family.

Alex joined Dale Underwriting Partners in January 2022. He started his career in the London insurance market several years ago at Markel International training as a Junior Wordings Technician, specialising in North American and International Property. He then had intermittent roles at AXA XL and Hiscox Re before joining the property team of Rokstone Underwriting as their Wordings Specialist.
Outside of work Alex supports Saracens RFC and when not watching he can be found playing Rugby or Cricket.
Alex began his insurance career in 2012 after graduating from Durham University with an LLB in Law. Starting as a broker he moved to an in-house MGA at Aon before broking healthcare in 2015 and subsequently moving to QBE in 2017 as an underwriter for international healthcare business. He joined Dale Underwriting Partners in May 2020.
Alex enjoys cooking, international travel and is a keen rugby player and golfer.
Amar joined Dale Underwriting Partners in November 2022 as Casualty Claims Manager. Prior to joining Dale, Amar was a Claims Director at Everest Re and he has 15 years of experience managing a wide variety of specialty non-marine classes in the Lloyd's and Company market. He has participated in several market groups throughout his career and is a keen supporter of community program and DEI initiatives. Currently, he is a member of the Insurance Institute of London's Claims Committee. Amar holds the ACII - Chartered Insurer designation from the CII and a BSc Mathematics from King's College London. He will shortly be completing an MBA at Warwick Business School.
Outside of work, Amar enjoys travelling, music and supporting Arsenal -but most of his spare time is now spent with his identical twin daughters who arrived mid-2022!
Amy joined the Accounts department at Amlin after graduating from university and taking a year out placement as part of her degree. Amy gained her ACCA certificate in 2007 and became a Fellow of the association in 2013. Having continued her accounting career at both Atrium and Pembroke, she joined Dale Underwriting Partners in October 2018.
Amy likes to relax by regularly attending an evening pottery class. She also loves to bake and decorate cakes for her daughter, family and friends.
Andrew began his career in the Lloyd's Market in 2008 within the Hiscox Syndicate Claims team. He joined Dale Underwriting Partners in 2015 as a Senior Claims Handler from Asta Managing Agency where he was involved in the claims oversight of Dale Underwriting Partners and handled claims across a variety of classes for various managed syndicates including Barbican, W R Berkley and The Channel Syndicate.
Andrew Hornsblow joined Dale Underwriting Partners in March 2016. Andrew is a highly experienced underwriter in the London/Lloyd's market. He started his career in 1982 as a Broker before moving to underwriting in 1989 to write US casualty business. In 1999 he helped establish Syndicate 1204, which subsequently became part of the Chaucer group. He later developed the Lead Hospital Professional Liability account for Barbican. His last position was Class Underwriter for the global Healthcare portfolio at Marketform.
He is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute.
Andrew is married with two children and is a keen triathlete and cycle obsessive.

Arran joined Dale Underwriting Partners in May 2022. He started his insurance career working at Amlin Syndicate in 2001 and in 2002 became an Outwards Reinsurance Technician and from 2004 moved to the International Property Treaty team. He spent the majority of his 18 years in international underwriting worldwide (ex US) property treaty cat and risk excess of loss. During this time Arran was also seconded to the MS Amlin Miami office developing the syndicates Latin American operations. He is ACII qualified and a chartered Insurer
Outside of work Arran likes to spend time with his family and his main interests are travel, reading and anything sports related!
Brenda is PA to the Chief Executive of Dale Underwriting Partners.
Prior to joining Dale Underwriting Partners, Brenda held a number of senior PA positions within the underwriting sector. She started her career in Lloyd's in 1989 at the Harvey Bowring Syndicate as PA to the Underwriter, during which time he was appointed Deputy Chairman of Lloyd's. She left Harvey Bowring to join the newly founded Managing Agency Partners Ltd in 2000 where she took on the role of PA to the Underwriter (a working Member of the Council of Lloyd's for 6 consecutive years and the Franchise Board for 3).
Brenda's interests include travel, racquet sports, theatre & opera.
Carly joined Dale Underwriting Partners in April 2018 as Syndicate Finance Assistant to the Financial Controller.
Prior to joining Dale, Carly started her career as an Accounts Assistant with Legal and General before venturing into the Lloyd's of London Insurance Market, where she worked for Archers Managing Agent and Amlin. Carly left Amlin in 1999 to start a family and raise her three children, one of which is now officially an adult! When the children were in full time education she joined a Property Management Company and worked in their Accounts Department for the next 5 years.
Carly enjoys the odd game of darts with her son and more recently has played a couple of games for a local team. The rest of her free time is mainly spent taking her daughter shopping!
Carol has over 30 years experience in the insurance industry. After leaving school, she began her career in 1988 as a Trainee Accountant with CNA Reinsurance Company, where she began studying for her ACCA qualification. She qualified in 1998 and became a fellow of the association in 2003.
Carol left CNA in 1994 to join Amlin plc, where she worked as Compliance and Review Manager until 2014. This was a very varied role and enabled Carol to gain a greater understanding in many areas of the business. Carol resigned this role in 2014 to join the new Dale Syndicate.
Carol lives in East Sussex with her husband and three children. Carol enjoys swimming and helps out at a local swimming club. She also volunteers as a mentor of young people through the ReachOut UK charity scheme which has proved very rewarding.

Cassidy joined Dale Underwriting Partners in November 2022 to start his career in Exposure Management as an Exposure Management Analyst. Previously he studied mathematics and economics whilst achieving mathematician and statistician of the year awards.
Outside of work Cassidy supports West Ham and is a keen sports enthusiast with interests in golf, Formula 1 and football. He also likes spending time with family and friends.
Chantelle joined Dale Underwriting Partners in September 2023. After graduating the University of York studying Social Policy, Chantelle started her career at Lloyd's as part of the International Regulatory Affairs Team. Chantelle is fluent in British Sign Languages (BSL) and taught it for four years whilst at university.
Outside of work Chantelle enjoys golf, netball and swimming. She is also a keen runner and has entered herself for several half marathons.

Charmaine joined Dale Underwriting Partners in January 2021. She is a qualified solicitor and chartered secretary. After practising as a solicitor for many years, she moved into a company secretarial role. She has governance experience in listed companies with international presence to large private regulated companies. Charmaine has predominantly worked in financial services, recently at IG and prior to that at Asta Managing Agency, where she gained substantial Lloyd's and London market experience.
Charmaine is currently pursuing an Executive MBA at Warwick Business School and is an alumni of the London Business School Developing Leaders at Lloyd's Programme.
Outside of work, Charmaine is an advisor to the Board of Trustees of a registered charity and occasionally contributes to a food and travel blog.
Chloe joined Dale Underwriting Partners in June 2022. After completing a Business Diploma in 2019, she worked within both permanent and temporary recruitment before starting her underwriting career within the Property team at Dale.
Outside of work, Chloe enjoys travelling, skiing and keeping fit.
Chris joined Dale Underwriting Partners as their first Actuary in January 2018. He is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries with a range of general insurance industry experience.
He started his career in 2011 at Guy Carpenter in reinsurance broking, where he performed reinsurance pricing for many clients across a range of industries, including marine, casualty, motor and property. In 2015, he moved to Lane Clark & Peacock LLP into a mixed consulting role, where he helped clients with reserve reviews, internal model validation and capital modelling. He gained a Master's in Physics at Oxford University.
Away from the office, Chris enjoys travelling, reading, and exploring London's museums and art galleries.
After graduating from University with a degree in Journalism, Chris began his career in 2008 in the insurance industry. He started his underwriting life as an Underwriting Assistant at the Sports & Leisure MGA Sportscover Europe. Over a period of 12 years he attained his Diploma in Insurance (Dip CII) and progressed through the ranks to become Underwriting Manager. He joined Dale Underwriting Partners in September 2020.
Chris is a keen musician and an avid sports enthusiast, having played most sports with a ball - chiefly football, cricket, golf and squash.

Connie joined Dale Underwriting Partners in November 2020. She started her underwriting career with the Energy Team in February 2021 to assist with the build out of their new portfolio. Prior to this she lived and travelled around Canada for 18 months where she spent two winter seasons as a ski instructor in Banff National Park and qualified for her CSIA level 2.
Connie's interests include skiing, hiking and cooking.

Dan started his Insurance Career at a Managing Agency handling claims before moving into Underwriting niche Motor risks. In 2007 he moved to RSA as an Underwriting Assistant within the Professional and Financial Risks Team, he moved to London Office in 2009 where he specialised in A&H being promoted to Underwriter and then Senior Underwriter. Dan joined Dale Underwriting Partners in March 2023.
Dan is married with 2 children which keep him busy. His personal interests include socialising with friends and cooking.
David works in the property treaty underwriting team, focusing on US Catastrophe business. Prior to joining Dale in early 2014 he worked at AEGIS London, writing worldwide property treaty business. He has a BA (Hons) from Exeter University, an MA from Bristol and is a Chartered Insurer with an Advanced Diploma in Insurance (ACII).
David is a keen golfer and enjoys playing football for a local five-a-side team.
Dominic Ford - Chief Compliance Officer
Dominic joined Dale Underwriting Partners in January 2022. Following a formative career with the Association of British Insurers and Lloyd's, he worked in senior governance and risk and compliance roles with brokers, underwriting agencies and Lloyd's managing agencies. He was a part of the management team who established Sportscover as a Lloyd's player in 2006 and continued with Hamilton following their acquisition of Sportscover's operations at Lloyd's and Pembroke Managing Agency.
In his spare time, he follows the highs and lows of Arsenal FC and is a Scout leader.
Dominic started his insurance career at Swiss Re in 2013 after graduating from Oxford Brookes University with a degree in Anthropology.
Dominic joined Dale Underwriting Partners in January 2021. After graduating in History and Society at Exeter University, he began his career with the J E Mumford Syndicate 1141 in 1997, as underwriting trainee on the US Catastrophe account. Dominic then transferred over to the then merged Amlin Syndicate 2001 International Property and Specialty book, combining a lead underwriter role with responsibility as Group Outwards Reinsurance Manager. He finally worked his way up to the role of Chief Underwriting Officer of the Reinsurance Business Unit globally. Dominic is ACII qualified and a Chartered Insurer.
Dominic is married with 2 children, is a keen Liverpool FC supporter and enjoys golf and tennis.
Duncan Dale is a highly experienced underwriter in the London/Lloyd's market. He started his career in 1982 and entered Lloyd's in 1989. Following a long career at the Amlin Syndicate, where his last position was the Managing Director of Amlin London, he left in order to establish Dale Underwriting Partners which commenced underwriting for the 2014 year of account.
Duncan is married with three children (none of which are children any more) and is keen on motor racing, cars in general and Northampton rugby.

Emma started her career in insurance and the Lloyd's market in 2007 at the Amlin syndicate working in the US Casualty team where she gained an Advanced Diploma in Insurance qualification (ACII). Emma joined the newly formed Dale syndicate in 2014 to help establish the Casualty portfolio alongside Duncan Dale, CEO. She has experience in writing both reinsurance and insurance business for a diverse Casualty portfolio consisting of US Auto Liability, Professional Liability, Medical Malpractice Liability, General Liability and Workers Compensation.
Emma enjoys going to the theatre, attending live music events and travelling.
Emma began her career at QBE as an Underwriting Assistant with the International Property Syndicate. She joins Dale from AIG where she worked in the Multinational department on global captive fronting for financial institutions.
Emma graduated from the University of Manchester with a BA (Hons) degree in Politics.

Ewa joined Dale Underwriting Partners in November 2018 as Delegated Underwriting Manager.
Ewa started her career in Insurance and the Lloyd's market in 2011, at Zurich working in the Professional Indemnity Underwriting team and in the Delegated Underwriting team at Newline Underwriting Management. In 2014 Ewa joined CNA Hardy's DU team and was promoted to Compliance Monitoring Manager, following that she worked as Senior Delegated Underwriting Specialist.
Ewa graduated with a BA (Hons) in Banking and Finance at the Torun School of Banking in Poland as well as in Business Studies at the Greenwich University in London.
Ewa is married with two children; loves reading and enjoys cooking.
Finlay joined Dale Underwriting Partners in August 2022. He holds an honours degree in Business & Management from Oxford Brookes University, as well as a Diploma in Insurance through the CII. He's spent over ten years in Risk Management, with a particular focus on Insurance Risk, across a number of General (Re)Insurers.
Outside of work, Finlay is a keen follower of sport. He also enjoys travel, facilitating his lifelong quest to locate the world's best mint-choc-chip ice cream.
Francesca joined Dale Underwriting Partners in July 2022. After graduating from the University Of Bristol with a (BA) in Ancient History she went on to work in operations and recruitment for the National Health Service. Francesca's hobbies include travelling, socialising with friends and tennis.

Francesca joined Dale Underwriting Partners in January 2014 where she oversees, amongst other tasks, the Reporting, Business Planning, Reserving and IT Sytems Management.
Prior to joining Dale, Francesca worked at one of the largest Syndicates at Lloyd's for over 11 years, where the last 5 years were spent as the Underwriting & Operations Manager for the Property & Casualty team. Francesca has a MA in Business Management from Kingston Business School, a BSc (Hons) in Biology from Bristol University and has completed her Advanced Diploma in Insurance (ACII). Outside of work, Francesca spends most of her time running around after her sons and cooking.

Hannah joined Dale Underwriting Partners in July 2023 from Aspen as a Senior Delegated Underwriting Analyst. Prior to Aspen Hannah started her career in the Delegated Authorities team at Lloyd's of London in 2014. In 2017 Hannah joined RenaissanceRe as a Delegated Underwriting Assistant.
Hannah graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Business Management at King's College London. Outside of work, Hannah enjoys travelling, skiing and keeping fit.

Ian Bridge is Deputy Active Underwriter for Dale Underwriting Partners. Ian started his career in 1993 with Syndicate 939 where he worked in Reinsurance. He then went to Syndicate 1227 which was set up to reinsure the liabilities of Orphan Syndicates. In 1998 he went to work with Syndicate 1239 on their Worldwide Direct & Facultative portfolio which was eventually merged into Markel Syndicate 3000. In 2003 he left to take over the Faraday Direct and Facultative Property account where he was latterly Head of Property Insurance.
Ian joined Dale Underwriting Partners in July 2014.
Outside of work Ian enjoys football, triathlons and golf.
Imogen started her insurance career when she joined Dale Underwriting Partners in July 2022. She has wanted to work in the London market for several years and decided to join the industry after completing her A Levels. Outside of work, Imogen enjoys traveling, keeping fit and supporting Manchester United.
Jack joined Dale Underwriting Partners in November 2022 as Assistant Underwriter for the Marine & Energy Reinsurance Account. After graduating from the University of Reading with a degree in International Business with Italian, Jack began his reinsurance career in September 2018 on the Graduate Scheme at Acrisure Re (formerly Beach & Associates) before being promoted to Account Manager. In October 2021, he joined MS Amlin on the Marine & Energy Reinsurance team. Jack has obtained his Diploma in Insurance and is working towards being fully ACII qualified. Jack grew up in France and Switzerland and speaks 4 languages.
Jack loves most sports but particularly enjoys playing and watching golf and tennis.
James joined Dale Underwriting Partners in July 2023. He graduated from Newcastle University with a degree in Politics, and then went into recruitment before deciding to change career path and move into the London market.
In his free time, James particularly enjoys following cricket and playing in his 5-a-side football team each week. He loves to travel and keep active and is undertaking a charity cycle ride from Land's End to John O'Groats in 2023
Josh joined Dale Underwriting Partners at the start of 2023, having spent the first 9 years of his career underwriting delegated authorities at Ark Syndicate, where he began as an Underwriting Assistant before working through the ranks to become an Underwriter.
Josh has a BSc (Hons) in Business Management, holds the ACII designation and has completed the Postgraduate Certificate in Natural Hazards for Insurers, at UCL.
In terms of hobbies, Josh enjoys trying (very poorly!) to play golf, going to the gym, travelling to anywhere with a beach and supporting Harlequins.

Kate joined Dale Underwriting Partners as Syndicate Accountant in January 2021.
Prior to joining Dale, Kate started her career in the Lloyd's Market in 2008 with Whittington Insurance Services, who are now Asta Managing Agency Ltd, as an Assistant Syndicate Accountant. Kate then went on to progress as a Syndicate Accountant, working on various clients including Channel Syndicate 2015, Ariel Re Syndicate 1910 and Dale Syndicate 1729 since 2014.
Kate in her spare time goes horse riding at her sisters livery yard. Kate also enjoys watching crime drama and has just completed a diploma in Criminal Psychology. She lives with her partner and her 2 Persian cats.

Katie joined Dale in October 2021. After graduating from the University of Brighton in 2014 with BSc (Hons) degree in Geography she began her career at Tokio Marine Kiln in the Exposure Management Team where she initially started working on direct lines of business and then moved into the Property Treaty modelling team. In 2018, Katie started at Apollo Syndicate Management working in the newly established Property Treaty SPA team on US and International business.
Outside of work Katie enjoys all things fitness, including running, boxing, netball and tennis.
Kirstin Joined Dale Underwriting Partners in April 2021. She started out her Insurance career working for Catlin and later moved to work as an Analyst for Amlin in the Property and Casualty department. In 2014 Kirstin relocated to Dubai and worked for AXA Gulf, where she was responsible for Business Planning and reporting. She later went on to manage the Business Planning and Fraud teams.
In her spare time Kirstin spends her time with her young daughters and is a keen runner.
