Alice is experienced in all types of transactions involving residential property, including leasehold sales and purchases, plot sales and purchases, remortgages, assents and transfers of equity. She offers a high standard of service to her clients that's personalised to their needs, whether they are first-time buyers or experienced property investors.

Charlotte is a highly experienced commercial property lawyer and has a broad and diverse client base. Charlotte acts for various small and medium-sized developers in connection with residential site acquisition and disposals, including Housing Association disposals, and complex residential site assembly. Charlotte also acts for a number of high-street banks on all aspects of secured lending.
As part of our Corporate and Commercial team in Swindon, Conor helps our clients deal with a wide range of matters. From company restructure and reorganisation to acquisitions and disposals, he puts the legal processes in place to ensure smooth transitions and give stakeholders peace of mind. Conor also helps to arrange shareholder and investor agreements, as well as loan agreements, to ensure our clients build robust foundations for new commercial relationships.
Through his collaborative approach, Conor builds long-term partnerships with clients and supports them with a range of ongoing matters, such as company secretarial and commercial contracts. Drawing on his corporate and commercial expertise, he carries out thorough legal due diligence to help clients expand with confidence.
Gemma trained with Thrings and qualified as a solicitor in 2008. She was promoted to Associate in 2011 and progressed to become a partner in 2015. Gemma has experience in all areas of property litigation with particular expertise in commercial landlord and tenant, property portfolio/asset management and leasehold enfranchisement. Gemma advises both landlords and tenants on the management of commercial, mixed-use and residential property portfolios. This includes tactical lease renewals, dilapidations, forfeiture, break notices and exit strategies, the recovery of rent and service charge arrears, breach of lease issues, forfeiture and strategic property management. Gemma acts on behalf of corporate occupiers, individuals, UK and international trusts, companies, property portfolio managers, investors and developers, and landowners. She has an impressive record of resolving matters before they reach trial and is renowned for understanding her clients' needs and helping them achieve a commercial and pragmatic resolution to their property dispute. Gemma is head of the London and Regions Enfranchisement Team; an extremely specialist team advising on all aspects of leasehold reform acting for both landlords and tenants in individual and collective claims. Gemma acts on both contentious and non-contentious matters and advises on collective enfranchisement, lease extension and right to manage claims, and rights of first refusal. Gemma has successfully completed numerous claims under the leasehold reform legislation and is extremely capable in dealing with the complexities of this area.

As part of our private client team, Harriet supports our clients with inheritance tax and succession planning, Wills, applications for a Grant of Representation, administrations of estates and Lasting Powers of Attorney. She takes the time to build strong relationships with her clients to ensure their needs are met.
Harriet can help with more complex cases involving cross-border work. She can advise clients who have assets in both the UK and France with their succession planning. She can also help with issues of domicile and multi-jurisdiction estate administration. Harriet aims to always provide clear and practical advice.

Her work involves both the financial aspects of separation as well as disputes regarding children. In addition to divorce settlements, Kathryn has extensive experience in pre- and post-nuptial agreements and cohabitation rights.
With a focus on cases where high financial values are involved, Kathryn helps clients understand the implications of agreements for related tax, pensions, trusts and businesses. She also has expertise in handling arrangements for farm estates.
Kevin has in-depth expertise in mainstream corporate finance, flotations, fundraising and mergers and acquisitions. Based in our Bristol office, Megan qualified as a solicitor in 2003 and has over 18 years' experience as Commercial Litigator. She became a partner in 2016, specialising in intellectual property disputes, including cases involving copyright infringement, trademark infringement, passing off, design right infringement and Company Names Tribunal disputes.
Heading up Thrings' Intellectual Property team, Megan is also experienced in providing non-contentious Intellectual Property and Data Protection advice and manages several global trade mark portfolios for her clients. She is adept at making trade mark applications both in the UK and globally via WIPO or her extensive network of tried and trusted agents in different jurisdictions.
She also has extensive experience handling commercial contract disputes and allegations of fraud against company directors. Megan is keenly aware of the need to adopt a commercial approach and is experienced in all forms of alternative dispute resolution.

Neil Barbour leads our Agricultural Property team. He specialises in the sale and purchase of rural and agricultural property, particularly for high-value farms, estates and country houses, as well as in secured lending of agricultural property. Neil works closely with farmers, landowners, tenants, entrepreneurs and institutional investors. Drawing on many years' experience in the agricultural property sector and the industry relationships he holds, he also supports the Banking and Finance team by advising agricultural lenders on the legal structures surrounding rural and agricultural property.
Neil is a member of the Agricultural Law Association and is often invited to speak on agricultural property issues.
Robert joined Thrings in 2010 and heads up the Bristol Commercial Property team. He forms a key part of our Development of Land and Banking & Finance teams, bringing a valuable perspective to a broad range of matters.
