3p Family Ranch is a 3300 acre ranch in Walnut Springs, Texas. Our beef is humanely raised, pasture grazed, and grain finished. We are proud to provide high quality beef that is responsibly and ethically sourced to local families... What is commodity beef? This is sometimes used to describe meat which is produced on the industrial scale and sold at a relatively low cost. Animals are treated as commercial products and agricultural commodities, rather than living creatures. We live in a "moment in time" when government controls won't mandate or inform consumers of the origin of their meats. We also exist in an era in history where "factory farming" in concentrated animal feed lot operations (CAFOs) dominate the beef landscape... We've been raising cattle and other livestock on our central Texas ranch since 1971. My father and mother have handed down a wealth of information, understanding and experience in running a responsible farm, not to mention knowledge and expertise in raising..
