A lot of people don't realize that burning wood is extremely eco-friendly. As our good friends at the Squam Lakes Science Center have pointed out in the photo above, wood is chock full of valuable heat-producing energy. If that wood is sustainably forested and burned in an eco-certified stove you have a powerhouse heat source that has a low impact on the environment. Here at Black Cat Sweeps LLC we heat and cool our office with a combination of an eco-friendly woodstove and electric heat pumps that run off of solar power. In fact, as of 5/25/2023 our home and office will be running on 95% solar power! We also grow and preserve our foods and use gravity-fed rain barrels to water the gardens which is especially important during times of drought. Furthermore, we specialize in upcycled design, taking other people's "junk" and turning it into design perfection! Lastly, we also recycle and use the redemption center as much as possible to further reduce our carbon footprint... We love giving..
