As Director of Cannabis, Bell was tasked with starting, implementing and overseeing the Florida Hemp Program created under legislation Gov. Ron DeSantis signed in 2019 to create the state hemp program (SB 1020). Additionally, she assisted the Florida Department of Health with the edibles portion of the Medical Cannabis Program.

Samuel Eberts is Chair of the Daerter Group, a venture firm that provides seed investment for promising start-ups in healthcare, education and technology. He recently retired as the chief legal officer, corporate secretary and senior vice president of Global Corporate Affairs for Laboratory Corporation of America® Holdings. During his time at LabCorp, Eberts led the Global Corporate Affairs group, with enterprise-wide responsibility for the Legal, Compliance, Corporate Secretary, Shareholder Services, Public Policy/Government Relations, Communications, Community Affairs/Philanthropy, Privacy and Security functions.
Shawn graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Masters of Science in Analytical Chemistry. Previous to joining our Team, Shawn helped develop the cannabis program at Waters Corporation. Prior to that Shawn was the former Chief Science Officer at Deutsche Process. Shawn loves wine, golf and he's an avid sports fan. He's especially good at wrestling.
