DUSTIN RAY SHANNON

​It's been more than a decade since Dustin took on his first volunteer position at a museum. What started as a high school internship at the Smoky Hill Museum lasted for just over five years. His time at Smoky Hill helped fuel his passion for history and volunteer work, which led to him taking on a personal project researching and working to preserve the Sanborn Cemetery Project in New Cambria, KS. Dustin continued his work in historic preservation at the Old Cowtown Museum, serving as both the Mercantile Clerk and Funeral Director.
