Ben Clube - CEO, Founder

Ben Clube is the founder of EnergyPathways. He has 30+ years' commercial, finance and operations upstream experience. Previously founder and director of clean energy company EnergyCapture Limited, As a director at FAR Ltd he was responsible for building the Africa business, breakthrough M&A and commercial deals, leading to world class oil discoveries offshore Senegal.​ He was previously a Vice President Finance at BHP Petroleum with leadership roles in numerous international development and gas commercialisation projects in UKCS, Australia, USA, Africa, Asia.

Ben Hodges - CFO

Mr Hodges is a Fellow of CPA Australia with 25 years' experience in both the accounting profession and in industry, including over fifteen years' experience in oil & gas and mining. He currently serves as Finance Director of First Development Resources plc and Chief Financial Officer at Arcontech Group plc, both on a part time basis, and he previously served as Chief Financial Officer of Thor Explorations Ltd, a company with dual listing on AIM and the TSXV. During this time Thor progressed from an exploration company to production from Nigeria's first gold mine. In addition, Mr Hodges previously held the position of Chief Financial Officer at Atlantic Coal, a formerly AIM listed coal mining company. He has extensive experience working with listed growth companies on AIM, the TSXV and the ASX, with a focus on financial and management reporting, corporate governance, IPOs and corporate finance.

Derek Grimmer

Derek has been a successful Project Director and Senior Project Manager within the Oil and Gas sector for more than 30 years and has a proven track record in delivering high value CAPEX Projects for a number of Operators within the UKCS. He is a strong leader with a broad overarching technical competence, covering all aspects of field development Projects, in particular subsea tie-backs, where he has been responsible for successfully delivering both single and multi-well Projects, with major greenfield and brownfield scopes. He has held senior roles for both supermajors and smaller Operators, including CNOOC, Shell & BG Group. His track record for delivering fast track, complex multi-well subsea tiebacks is unsurpassed in the UKCS, having successfully delivered seven tieback Projects to date.

Graeme Marks

Graeme Marks has 30+ years of broad upstream experience gained mainly with Shell. A geologist by background, he led a number of technical and NBD/M&A gas commercialisation projects across UKCS, Norway, Russia, Kazakhstan, Iraq and UAE and more recently on global unconventional gas resource plays. During his time at Shell, Graeme developed an in depth understanding of the undeveloped gas potential of the East Irish Sea. He is a Chartered Geologist, a Fellow of the Geological Society of London and a member of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN).

Horacio Carvalho

Horacio has more than 40 years' experience developing projects in energy, cleantech, renewables and other sustainable sectors. He holds a number of board positions, including being CEO of Climate Change Ventures Limited, which provides financial services to climate change related businesses, Hydrogen Ventures Limited, a UK based green hydrogen project developer and Resero Gas Ltd, a UK based developer and operator of LNG gas terminals. Previously, Mr Carvalho founded and ran General des Eaux, a Portugal-based water processing and supply company serving 25,000 households as well as having experience in waste recycling, carbon credit and biodiesel trading.

Kim Hosgood

A consummate and innovative professional with over 40 years' experience in the upstream oil & gas sector unusually across many disciplines including commercial practice, negotiation and compliance, acquisitions & divestments/business development, project and joint venture and financial management. Various senior staff roles within industry majors, independents and start-ups including Conoco, Enterprise Oil, Paladin Resources, Shell, Stratic Energy, and more recently with Energy Pathways, i3Energy, Dana Petroleum, Zennor and NEO.

Mark Steeves - Chairman

The QCA Code recommends that a board of directors should include a balance of executive and non-executive directors, such that no individual or small company of individuals can dominate the board's decision taking. In the case of a smaller company, such as the Company, the QCA Code recommends that the board should include at least two non-executive directors who are deemed to be independent for the purposes of the QCA Code. The Board comprises three executive directors and three non-executive Directors (including the Chairman), reflecting a blend of different skills, experiences and backgrounds. Mark Steeves, and Horácio De Brito Carvalho are considered to be independent for the purposes of the QCA Code. Mark has 40 years' experience in energy service sectors, shipping, procurement, turnkey engineering, insurance and investment banking. He is an experienced NED and is presently Chair of VSA Capital. Mark is a Co-founder The Geological Society Business Forum.

Peter Nicholls has over 35 years experience in the oil and gas industry. He was FAR Ltd Exploration Manager responsible for world class Senegal discoveries FAN and Sangomar. He was a founder of clean energy company, EnergyCapture Limited. Before that he was Exploration and New Ventures Manager for BHP Petroleum. He has participated in numerous discoveries and appraisals in Australia and internationally.

Stephen West

Stephen West holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Business Law) and is an experienced Fellow Chartered Accountant (CA ANZ) and CA (ICAEW). He has 30 years of financial and corporate experience gained in public practice, oil and gas, mining and investment banking. Stephen has held several senior positions in oil and gas, and mining companies including PetroNor E&P Limited (OSE:PNOR). He was also previously a Non-Executive Director of Apollo Consolidated Limited (ASX:AOP), a company taken over for A$181 million in 2021. He is the founder and Executive Chairman of Roquefort Therapeutics plc (LSE:ROQ).

Steve Fogarty

Steve Fogarty is a chemical engineer with over twenty five years' experience as an Engineering Manager and Technical expert across operational sites, green field / brown field projects in Oil & Gas and other chemical sectors. Steve has held both technical and leadership roles, for numerous Oil and Gas facilities, with extensive experience in commissioning and de-bottlenecking of gas processing facilities. He is a recognised leader in the industry and has been contributing to numerous industry forums and conferences within Australia and internationally. Steve is also a founding board member of the IChemE Safety Centre, contributing to many of their publications as well as delivering Process Safety and HAZOP / LOPA training.
