Chris is an experienced project and programme manager with over 20 years of experience of delivery in the NHS, public and private sectors. He is a capable leader, an excellent communicator and highly experienced in complex programme delivery to time and cost. He is capable of delivering projects from inception as well as taking over the management of projects in mid-delivery.
Gareth joined Engine13 in February 2018. With a background in Project Management, as well as sales and marketing, Gareth brings a broad set of skills to his work. Gareth is responsible for managing project processes, maintaining project documentation and liaising with clients, ultimately ensuring projects remain on track for delivery.
He graduated with a 2:1 in Coach Education & Sports Development from the University of Bath and holds a current Prince2 Practitioner qualification.
James has over 10 years' experience in arrange of senior consultancy roles within the NHS. This includes spells as a Turnaround Director and currently as Chief Executive for a new Primary Care at scale Provider organisation. James established Engine13 after seeing the need for a different type of consultancy in the NHS. One which delivered key programmes of work with the client, and thereby, leaving a legacy for continued success by embedding the right systems, process, and culture.
Since 2013, James has delivered substantial results for a range of NHS clients who all testify to the success of working with Engine13.
James is passionate about embedding processes which deliver productivity, efficiency and financial results with a culture which builds organisational capacity, capability and confidence for the long term.
Mark has more than 30 years of leadership experience across the NHS, including roles as a PCT Chief Executive, and most recently as Chief Officer of NHS North Norfolk Clinical Commissioning Group. Mark's NHS career began in finance, working originally at the Northern General Hospital in Sheffield, before working as Director of Finance/Deputy CEO in a major mental health Trust.
Since leaving the NHS on a fulltime basis in 2016, Mark balances his work with Engine13 with a variety of part time roles supporting the health, social care and the voluntary sector. He has developed his skills in coaching, mentoring and facilitation. He is a member of the Department of Health's Independent Reconfiguration Panel which advises the Secretary of State on contested service reconfiguration. Mark is also Vice Chairman of a third sector mental health provider.
Mark is passionate about clinically-led service redesign and helping organisations improve through individual, team and Board development.

Before moving into consultancy, Richard Banyard worked in a wide range of NHS management roles for over 35 years. This included over 10 years at Board and Chief Executive levels. Richard has been directly involved in supporting health and social care organisations with their Care Quality Commission registration and inspections for the past 6 years. He has helped over 100 organisations with their CQC registrations, preparation for inspections and all other aspects of support required to ensure CQC compliance. Richard has a Masters Degree in Health Services Management. He is also a fully qualified teacher with a Post Graduate Certificate in Education.
Richard lives in Yorkshire but works nationwide.
Tara joins the team with over 10 years experience in recruitment, having worked within the IT and Healthcare sectors. Tara is passionate about what she does in building strong relationships she helps source the right match for both candidate and Engine13.
