Aidan Teesdale - CEO

Aidan started his career in Gisborne as an apprentice carpenter in 2004. After completing his apprenticeship Aidan moved to Wellington where he worked for Fletcher Construction for five years. After several years as foreman at the Wellington Hospital Fletcher Construction provided the path into project management. Aidan's first project as a Project Manager was for the GCSB fitout spanning five floors with a total floor area of 15,000m2. The project also included a sophisticated data centre which was critical to the building operations. Since Fletchers, Aidan has moved towards retail fitouts including a two-year placement in London as a Senior Project Manager, building Tesco supermarkets under design and build contracts. After returning from London Aidan has continued working within the interiors space of construction completing office fitouts, retail stores and dental clinics throughout New Zealand. Over the last seven years, Aidan has established himself within the New Zealand market as an industry leader with landmark projects such as the Sugar Club and H&M Commercial Bay.

Grant Cooksley

Grant began his career on the tools as a carpenter 18 years ago, landing his first industry position with Foster Construction before moving to the UK in 2008 where he managed projects between £100, 000 - £1.5M such as Tesco's, Sainsburys, Metro Banks AND Giraffe Restaurants. In 2017 Grant relocated to Dubai where he managed a range of large commercial offices, food & beverage outlets and retail stores for companies such as Amazon, Coca-Cola and Uber. These projects had budgets of up to 20,000,000 AED and were seen through from inception to completion. With his vast background, Grant brings a considerable amount of experience to Fitout Solutions. He brings with him a consistent track record of completing projects whilst managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Jordyn Boshard

Jordyn joined Fitout Solutions in October 2022 as a Project Coordinator. Jordyn's first taste of the building industry was the four and a half years spent working a part-time job at Bunnings whilst studying for a Visual Arts degree at AUT. She gained experience in the service desk, garden department, and then on to special orders. In search of a new challenge, Jordyn made the move to Bunnings Head Office to undertake the role of a Buyers Assistant. Holding that position for 3 years, Jordyn accumulated experience in numerous departments assisting buyers with managing their categories. Now working as a Project Coordinator, Jordyn is eager to earn the exciting and ever-evolving world of shop fit-outs and all the challenges along the way.

Kelly Cudby

Kelly started out managing a health club in Wellington after completing a Bachelor of Physical Education at Otago University. Her first step into the building industry was working as a Personal Assistant at Almacantar in 2014, a London residential & commercial property development company. Two key projects were the development of Centre Point Tower on Oxford Street & Marble Arch Place at Hyde Park. Following her time in London she has worked at both Downer as a project coordinator and Sport Bay of Plenty in Business operations. With a young family, she is enjoying life by the beach in Papamoa while working as Project Coordinator here at FSL.

Marina Hamilton

Marina was a short-haul Flight Attendant for Air New Zealand in a previous life, before moving to Thailand and then to London to continue her OE. She worked there as a corporate receptionist before returning home to complete her HR degree. Marina began her career in construction as a Project Administrator for Fletcher Construction at the downtown Commercial Bay project in Auckland. Marina started as a Project Administrator for Fitout Solutions in 2020 amidst Covid before briefly stepping into a role as Project Manager at the start of 2021. Marina is now Fitout's Project Executive Team Leader where she assists the Executive and Operations teams with the lodging of building consents, design & build projects, and oversees two fantastic Project Coordinators. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors and being with her husband and dog. She is also looking forward to spending time with her soon-to-arrive twin babies.

Nathan Ruddell

Originally from Portadown, Northern Ireland, Nathan moved to Tauranga in 2007. He joins us with a wealth of experience gathered from the teaching sector as he was a primary school teacher for 8 years. Wanting to freshen things up, Nathan sought a career change. He joined Fitout Solutions having a knack for most things IT related. This has enabled him to fit into his role as System Administrator seamlessly. Nathan is a problem solver who loves putting his mind to work. His charm and sense of humour make him a pleasure to have at the office.

Oliver Drayton

Oliver, originally from the UK was a pastry chef at a range of hotels and restaurants in London and Europe. He then decided to move to New Zealand with his family and started working at southern hospitality project managing hospitality fit-outs ranging from hotels, rest homes, bars, restaurants, and the corporate sector. Some of the clients he worked with were Fisher & Paykel healthcare, Air New Zealand, Skycity, metlifecare, summerset and more. Oliver brings a wealth of knowledge with him and we are looking forward to working on many projects with him.

Rob Fyfe - Chairman

Rob started his working career in the New Zealand Air Force where he studied and trained as an engineering officer. Since leaving the airforce at age 26 Rob has had a diverse international career spanning, retail banking, telecommunications, pay television, aviation, wine, science research, jewellery, outdoor apparel and construction. Rob is best known in New Zealand for leading two iconic New Zealand brands as CEO of Air New Zealand between 2005 and 2012 and as Chairman and CEO of Icebreaker between 2013 and 2018 and recognised internationally for his roles as Chairman of the Star Alliance Chief Executive Board between 2010 and 2012 and as a member of the Board of Governors of the International Air Transport Association. Rob was recognized as CEO/Executive of the Year at the Deloitte 200 awards in 2009. In addition to his role as Director of Fitout Solutions, Rob sits on the Boards of Air Canada, Michael Hill International and Pure Cann NZ, and is a strategic advisor to Craggy Range Winery and to the Minister responsible for the Pike River Mine Re-entry. Rob's insights into retailing through his roles as Group/General Manager marketing and distribution at BNZ and NAB combined with his experience at Icebreaker, Michael Hill and Craggy Range have provided him with a broad perspective into the retail and hospitality market and the services and technical skill required for building successful projects and engaged consumer experiences. Rob's role within the company as Director is to ensure the highest standards of governance, business ethics and business decision making and business practices are in place to realise our vision to enable the senior management team to focus on delivering exceptional customer outcomes. Rob's extensive business experience brings fresh thinking and direction to the fitout construction market.

Sam Jacobs

Sam Kennedy

Sam is a Quantity Surveyor with a background in construction. After completing his residential building apprenticeship, he moved to Australia gaining further experience and skills before moving into Civil construction in the mining industry. His move back to New Zealand found him looking for a new challenge. He trained by way of a Cadetship with Hawkins Construction as a Quantity Surveyor, while completing his studies at Unitec. After 4 years, Sam took a QS position at Cutting Innovations in Auckland, which provides joinery for fitout and construction projects across NZ. This expanded his skillset with each bespoke project. A recent move to Wellington led to the opportunity to join Fitout Solutions. His experience with construction projects from start to finish, and in all aspects, positions Sam well to understand the needs of the client and the complexities that come with each project.

Simon Norman

Before moving back to New Zealand to work for a main contractor in Tauranga as a Senior QS, Simon spent several years overseas building on his construction and management experience. He started his career in the industry as a trainee QS at Fletcher Construction where he was exposed to the full cycle of the construction process. Simon then got the travel bug and made the move to England where he spent two years working for a well-know fitout company where he was in control of numerous large new build and refurbishment projects for Sainsbury's supermarkets. Dubai was next on the list, so Simon spent the following four years as a Senior QS working on projects upwards of $NZD45m. Projects ranged in different stages of development from the tender of a new villa subdivision, to the final accounts and handover stages of projects recently completed. Now, Simon joins Fitout Solutions as our newest Senior QS based in the sunny Bay of Plenty. He is looking forward to challenging himself and continuing his progression within the construction industry.

Tracy Peattie

Tracy began her working career where she grew up, over the Kaimai ranges in Hamilton. Her first role in Kirikiriroa was as a legal secretary, but eager for a change of scenery she opted to move to sunny Papamoa in 2001. For the next 17 years, she worked in the Accounts and Administration department for the Bay of Plenty's largest car dealership. In search of a better work-life balance, Tracy and her husband decided to set up and run a few businesses, which she managed with great success. But all good things must come to an end, and after 4 years of working for herself and her family's businesses Tracy took up her role as Finance Administrator here at Fitout Solutions. She has fitted in perfectly to the team, and contributes to the positive work culture within the business.
