In a bid to utilize the COVID-19 "Safer at home" period, I decided to enjoy every bit of it without regret, doing what I love doing viz: facilitating online mediations and teaching online classes about the wonders of mediation. These are my answers to five major questions my mentees (a group of young lawyers) getting keenly interested in mediation recently asked me at a zoom webinar where I taught introduction to mediation..... Discourage litigation. Persuade your neighbors to compromise whenever you can. Point out to them how the nominal winner is often the real loser - in fees, and expenses, and waste of time. As a peace-maker the lawyer has a superior opportunity of being a good man. There will still be business enough... Providing clients with cost-effective and innovative methods to manage disputes, resolve conflicts, and prevent litigation in employment/workplace, family, relationship, and business matters.
