Andrew Nethercott - CEO

Andrew is Chief Executive Officer, having joined the firm in August 2020. Andrew has more than 25 years' experience working at a senior level in food and drink businesses across Great Britain and Northern Ireland. He was formerly UK sales director for drinks manufacturer Anheuser Busch, Commercial Director at Dale Farm and most recently was Business Unit Director of the Prepared Foods division at Moy Park.

Andrew Ware - CFO

Andrew has lead Finnebrogue's financial activity since 2015, during which time, the business has established itself as one of the fastest growing food production businesses in the UK. Andrew has worked as a finance director in a variety of sectors including heavy engineering, aerospace and service, with leadership roles at Ready Mixed Concrete, Rolls Royce and Tyco International. Andrew has a particular interest in working for firms with high growth aspirations and has led many mergers and acquisition projects - and has managed a number of business divestments. Andrew lives in County Durham with his wife and children - and is a weekly commuter to Northern Ireland. He is a director of the Denis Lynn Foundation and The Good Little Company charitable trust.

Bernd Mense

Bernd Mense was, and remains, the perfect mentor and teacher for Finnebrogue. He was fundamental in helping us understand and deliver world leading structure and succulence in all our products every time. Without his guidance we would not have achieved the industry leading quality for which we have become renowned.

Declan Ferguson

Declan is Research, Development & Technical Director at Finnebrogue Artisan, leading a team of technologists who ensure Finnebrogue is at the forefront of market innovation and sustainable food production. Declan has a degree in Food Science from Queen's University Belfast and is currently the Chair of IFST's Northern Ireland Branch. Declan has spent 20 years working in the food business, with 10 years at Marks and Spencer as a food technologist, managing a range of product categories including confectionary, bakery & cakes, biscuits, prepared fruit, dried fruit & nuts, red meat and poultry. Declan went on to lead the technical and development teams in Tesco Ireland & Northern Ireland, before joining Genesis Crafty who made their name producing handcrafted mince pies, scones and light & fluffy pancakes.

DENIS LYNN - Founder

To innovate and be passionate about making food better. Changing the world through food. That is what drove our founder Denis every day. It is what drives us now. Denis Lynn's guiding principal was always to make a better product than anything else available. The foundations for the success of Finnebrogue Artisan started with the discovery of a humble French fry. Partially cooked in the factory, then chilled at 2°C, they cooked up in just 90 seconds and tasted like fresh chips. Denis quickly became the largest customer of Lord Chips in Europe and was appointed agent for all of Ireland.

Dermot Hawkins - COO

Dermot is Finnebrogue's Operations Director, responsible for all four of the firm's manufacturing sites, warehousing and distribution. Native to County Down, Dermot was educated at St Patrick's Grammar, Downpatrick, before going on to graduate from Queen's University Belfast with a first-class honours in mechanical engineering. He spent 16 years working for big brands such as Johnnie Walker, Bell's, Smirnoff, and Gordon's in various engineering, production, and site leadership roles. In the late 2000s, Dermot emigrated to Australia where he worked with Coca Cola Amatil, OI glass and Ingram's Poultry. He returned to Northern Ireland in 2019 when he joined Moy Park as General Manager of their Dungannon complex, growing and processing chickens for primary meat supply to UK and Irish retailers.

Heston Blumenthal

Finnebrogue Oisín Venison soon attracted critical acclaim amongst some of the world's best chefs. Over the years the likes of Rick Stein, Raymond Blanc and Paul Rankin have built dishes around our Finnebrogue venison, but when Heston Blumenthal called, we knew he'd be looking for something special.

Jago Pearson - Chief Strategy Officer

Jago is Chief Strategy Officer at Finnebrogue, setting and shaping the long-term strategic direction of the business. Jago is also the firm's chief spokesman, leading the firm's communications, public affairs and ESG activities. He has previously led Finnebrogue's business development and marketing teams. Outside of his Finnebrogue work, Jago is a founding director and Chairman of the international non-profit organisation, Foundation Earth, which he created with Finnebrogue's late founder Denis Lynn. He is a director of the Denis Lynn Foundation and a member of the advisory council of the Jobs Foundation. Before joining Finnebrogue in 2018, Jago was an adviser to the business. He was previously a director at one of London's leading political communications and public relations firms, Media Intelligence Partners. During this time, he advised some of the highest profile campaigns in the UK, as well as former cabinet ministers, members of Parliament and Members of the European Parliament, major multi-national corporations and high net-worth individuals. He worked on the historic campaign to secure a referendum and eventually leave the European Union in 2016.
