Adina-Leigh Collins

Adina-Leigh is a solicitor in the litigation department, having joined Lawbridge Solicitors, now incorporated into Grant Saw Solicitors LLP, when she qualified in 2015 from a large regional firm. She graduated from Huddersfield University in 2013 with First Class Honours (LL.B) and Commendation in her Masters of Law and Practice degree (LPC). In July 2017, she was also awarded a Distinction for her Masters in Law in Legal Practice (LL.M). Adina-Leigh is a tenacious, enthusiastic litigator who strives to achieve the best result of her clients. She provides effective, comprehensive advice on not only the important legal principles but also practical advice when considering the litigation cost risks of proposed actions and the clients' overall objectives. She is both sympathetic to the clients' needs and pragmatic in order to achieve the desired resolution as swiftly as possible. Adina-Leigh has a wide range of experience and undertakes a variety of contentious work, acting for both individuals and larger companies alike. She has considerable experience with contentious insolvency matters and regularly acts for insolvency practitioners, directors, and individuals. She has a particular interest in construction disputes, contentious insolvency disputes, landlord and tenant disputes, property and trust litigation, specifically disputes arising in connection with the co-ownership of properties (both residential and commercial). Outside of work Adina-Leigh's main hobbies include playing the violin, in which she holds a Grade 8 ABRSM certificate, and riding horses with a particular penchant for jumping and cross country, having recently hung up her boots from playing football for her local ladies' team who were in the Premier Division of the London & South-East Regional Women's Football League. She enjoys staying active at the gym, reading, socialising with friends and family and regularly travels back to East Anglia to visit them.

Aimal Gram

Aimal is a solicitor in our Commercial department dealing with most aspects of commercial property law. Prior to joining Grant Saw, Aimal worked for a West End firm dealing with a wide range of commercial property related matters, such as commercial acquisitions and disposals, commercial lettings and licences for both landlords and tenants. Aimal has also worked for a large City firm in its Property Securitisation department advising on and carrying out property due diligence for charging properties in large scale deals for bonds and private placements, as well as a regional medium sized firm in the South East and London, running his own team specialising and dealing with the full remit of property matters. Aisha Mohammed

Aisha Mohammed is based at our Greenwich Branch. After working as a fee earning solicitor for many years, she now provides knowledge management and compliance support to the Residential Property team. She also provides holiday covers for the Solicitors in their absence. Aisha has extensive experience in all aspects of Residential Conveyancing including sales and purchases of freehold and leasehold properties, help to buy transactions, lease extensions, transfers of equity and remortgages. Prior to joining Grant Saw in March 2018, she had been working in Residential Conveyancing since 2004 for firms in and around London. Aisha attended the University of Leicester where she completed an LLB (Hons) in Law with a 1st Class degree. She went on to complete an MSc in Management with Finance at the University of Bath and subsequently completed her Legal Practice Course at the University of West of England, Bristol. She qualified as a solicitor in 2007.

Ana-Maria Badeanu

Ana-Maria is a Solicitor in the firm's Corporate and Commercial department, working alongside Michael Pope to provide commercial and corporate transactional advice and guidance to our clients. Ana-Maria qualified as a Solicitor in 2019 and previously worked for firms based in Stevenage, Milton Keynes and most recently at a Kent-based firm and has experience in a range of company and commercial matters including mergers and acquisitions transactions, share reorganisations, company reorganisations and restructuring, business to business and business to consumer contracts, non-disclosure agreements and shareholders' agreements. Outside of work, Ana-Maria enjoys cooking, hosting dinner parties, walking, travelling and dance. She concentrates on Salsa, Bachata and Kizomba.

Angela Shaw

Angela specialises in drafting Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney, deputyship applications, tax advice and probate and estate administration. Angela completed her LLB in Law at the University of Westminster in 2001 and the Legal Practice Course in 2003 which she did alongside her role as a criminal defence paralegal. Angela qualified as a Solicitor in 2005. Angela became an associate member of the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners (STEP), completing her diploma in trusts and estates in 2022. Outside of work, Angela enjoys running, going to the cinema, eating out and has an interest in salsa dancing and playing the violin and piano.

Angus is a practical, approachable and business-minded dispute resolution solicitor with extensive experience resolving commercial property, business and media disputes acting for both individuals and businesses. Angus's growing business & commercial property practice includes acting for both tenants and landlords, advising in respect of partnership issues and contract disputes, providing comprehensive data protection & GDPR advice and managing ongoing tenant and landlord relationships. Angus is comfortable adapting to work with clients' existing corporate setups and has a good rapport with in-house lawyers and PR professionals. Bimal Kotecha

Bimal qualified as a solicitor advocate, with higher rights of audience in civil litigation, in 2012. After working at a boutique litigation law firm in Middle Temple, London, Bimal joined Grant Saw in 2016. Bimal specialises in a multitude of property related disputes such as property co-ownership disputes, property related negligence claims, landlord & tenant disputes, lease renewals, dilapidations claims, trespass, party wall matters and boundary disputes. He has considerable experience in contentious insolvency matters and is regularly instructed by insolvency practitioners and former directors of companies. Bimal's areas of expertise include representing clients in winding-up petitions, bankruptcy petitions, directors' disqualification proceedings and misfeasance and antecedent transaction claims Bimal has a keen interest in contractual disputes and commercial litigation alongside tax disputes and defending clients accused of white collar crime offences, such as fraud, tax evasion and prosecutions brought by Trading Standards. Bimal frequently assists clients in contentious probate matters which range from advising on claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family Dependants) Act 1975 to challenging the validity of wills. His particular expertise lies in testators lacking capacity or being unduly influenced by friends/family. Charlotte (formerly Charlotte Mandy) trained in Sussex and qualified as a solicitor in 2015. She then practiced at large regional firm in London and Surrey before joining Grant Saw in 2020. Charlotte has extensive experience advising clients with high net wealth and complex financial positions and a particular interest in advising on trusts planning and drafting for succession planning and asset protection. Charlotte prides herself on establishing lasting relationships with her clients and enjoys getting to know them and their families. Emily Pearce

Emily joined the Residential Conveyancing team at Grant Saw in 2016. Emily graduated from the University of East Anglia in 2009 before taking her LPC at the University of Westminster, completing it in 2010. She started her training contract with a high street firm in North London in 2010, qualifying in August 2012. She is an experienced residential property solicitor specialising in Sales, Purchases, Re-mortgages and Transfer of Equity. She is committed to providing excellent customer service and has a good rapport with estate agents and clients who are happy to recommend her. Georgia Beales

Georgia joined Grant Saw Solicitors in 2012 as a Litigation Paralegal. She assists the partners and solicitors in the firm's litigation department with a range of different matters including: attending court, serving papers and debt recovery. Having a keen interest in charity work, Georgia also heads up Grant Saw's Corporate Social Responsibility Team. Her role involves supporting the firm's charities and promoting environmental awareness throughout the organisation. Outside of work Georgia's interests include WW2 films, indoor planting, Dachshunds and interior design.

Helen Arney

Helen is the firm's HR Manager having joined us in September 2022. Helen, who is CIPD qualified, has over 25 years' experience in a range of sectors, mainly in financial services. She has also worked in the tax advisory sector and joins us from a technology-based firm. Helen is an HR specialist who will help the firm better to focus on recruitment, employee engagement and retention, learning and development, recognition and incentives, diversity and inclusion, and succession planning. Outside of work, Helen enjoys travelling, dining out with Thai being her favourite cuisine, running and spending time with her family - chasing after her daughter. Helen enjoys coastal visits which include ‘long walks' with the family dog.

Joanna Godden

Joanna studied Law at Oxford and Guildford, qualifying as a Solicitor in 1982 after articles in a City firm, where she stayed for a further two years. She then moved to Hong Kong for two years. Since 1987 she has worked in Greenwich, practising in Conveyancing, Wills and Probate, and in 1994 qualified additionally as a Notary Public. She now deals almost exclusively with documents for overseas, and joined Grant Saw at the end of 2006.

Laura Danquah

Laura took on the role of the firm's Compliance Manager in 2021, having previously worked as a solicitor in our private client department. Working alongside the Managing Partner, Laura is responsible for best practice issues across the firm, including compliance with SRA standards and regulations, management of risks, indemnity insurance, reviewing and raising awareness of the firm's policies and procedures, as well as maintaining the firm's quality accreditations (Lexcel, ISO 9001, WIQS and CQS) and preparing the firm for audit. In the future she will have increased responsibility for anti-money laundering, complaints handling and GDPR compliance. Laura read Law at the University of Warwick and graduated in 2010. She subsequently completed the LPC in London and qualified as a solicitor in 2013, having trained at a leading regional firm in Kent. She joined Grant Saw in 2015 Laura takes great pride in supporting our lawyers and wider staff at Grant Saw and ensuring they can work to high standards and to the very best of their abilities. She is also a Mental Health First Aider . Outside of work, Laura is a committee member of an amateur dramatics group in Canary Wharf and takes part in at least one show a year. She also enjoys cooking, reading and yoga.

Lauren Smith

Lauren started her career as a PA within a legal software company which is where her interest in the Legal Profession began. She attended evening college where she passed her RSA levels 2 and 3 in Legal Text Processing with distinction and then relocated to London for a Legal Support Secretary position within a magic circle law firm. She joined Lawbridge Solicitors in Sidcup as a Legal Secretary in 2017, which then merged with Grant Saw a few months later. In 2019 she took on the role of Employment and Family Paralegal at our Greenwich office. She assists the partners and solicitors in the firm's employment and family departments with a range of different matters including: preparing court bundles, legal research and attending court. Lauren has a particular interest in using IT to streamline processes and works regularly with the Head of IT developing new ideas that will benefit the office. He also assumes the role of Head of Commercial Property, advising property investors and owner occupiers on the acquisition and disposal of commercial real estate with extensive experience dealing with complex light and heavy industrial site acquisitions and disposals, landlord and tenant transactions including 54 Act lease renewals, working with landlords of major UK supermarket tenants such as Aldi, Somerfield, Iceland and Lidl. Mario advises banks and commercial lenders on secured lending transactions, and has extensive experience in handling portfolio financing and refinancing, where he has developed internal systems which facilitate the efficient and streamlined running of multi-security property portfolio finance transactions supported by the Grant Saw Securities team.

Michael joined Woolsey Morris & Kennedy solicitors in Sidcup in January 1983. He was a partner in Woolsey Morris & Kennedy from 1 May 1987 until 30 April 2008. On 1 May 2008 Michael started Lawbridge Solicitors, now incorporated into Grant Saw Solicitors LLP, with a view to providing high quality affordable legal services through efficient use of information technology and reduced overheads. Michael has a Masters Degree in Employment Law and Relations with Distinction from the University of Leicester. Having worked in the not-for-profit sector, Noella is also familiar with Charity Commission oversight and safeguarding issues. Noella graduated from the University of Technology, Sydney with a Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Laws with honours, and qualified as a Solicitor in New South Wales, Australia in 2002. Noella subsequently spent eight years in practice in employment law at a medium-sized law firm, an Employer Association and the Rail department of the state government. In 2010, Noella moved to the UK and worked as an Employment Lawyer for a large central London law firm and was seconded to a large technology firm where she advised on international employment law matters.
