Brandy Puckett

Introducing the newest addition a to our clinical staff, Brandy Puckett, LMSW. Brandy received her Bachelor of Social Work degree from Baylor University and her Master of Social Work degree from Texas State University. Brandy spent the first ten years of her career working as an Executive Director/Administrator of Senior Living and Memory Care Facilities where she implemented policies and procedures to improve the quality of life of all residents. She was an AHCA award recipient and was also invited by the Alzheimer's Association to serve as a local spokesperson and ambassador. Most recently, Brandy worked closely with troubled teens with adjustment issues and with their newly adoptive parents and families. In addition to her work with Kingwood Counseling Center, she also works as a therapist in a Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Psychiatric program. She uses a variety of approaches based upon the needs of the client and they include but are not limited to: Psychoeducation, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). She works with adolescents, adults, and the geriatric population. Some of the issues Brandy is skilled at addressing include grief and loss, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, the "sandwich generation" - those taking care of both their children and their aging parents, and those navigating the severe mental health diagnosis or cognitive decline of a loved one. She desires to provide a safe environment where people can discover their strengths and develop a resilient response to life's struggles. As a Licensed Master Social Worker under supervision for her independent LCSW license, Brandy can see self-pay clients and those on a limited number of EAP and insurance plans.

Erika Rebstock

Erika Rebstock is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Texas. She has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and earned her Masters degree in Counseling Education from Louisiana State University in 1999. She began working in the mental health field in 2000. Ms. Rebstock provides therapy services for adolescents, adults, couples, and families experiencing a variety of emotional and mental health issues. She has also provided career counseling for college-age young adults and enjoys working with that population. Ms. Rebstock's philosophy is that everyone encounters life's challenges and occasionally needs assistance in dealing with them. She views her job as a therapist as evaluating, assessing and providing the client with the emotional tools needed in order to navigate life. She enjoys making sure the client knows how to appropriately use these tools to create a successful, happy, and fulfilling life. Erika is only available for telehealth sessions and can see anyone in the State of Texas.

Julian Barnwell-Joseph

Julian is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified School Counselor dedicated to providing exceptional psychotherapy and counseling services to adolescents and young adults. She earned her Master's in Counseling from Prairie View A&M University and her Bachelor's in Business Management from New Jersey City University.

Patricia Gunn

Patricia Gunn is a Licensed Master Social Worker in the State of Texas. She received her Bachelor's degree from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, TX and her Master's degree in Social Work from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, TX. Patricia has diverse experience in crisis management, childhood trauma and abuse, geriatric social services, inpatient crisis management and therapy, chemical dependency and suicide risk management. Patricia is known as being a relatable professional, one who is capable of providing a warm and safe treatment environment. This allows her to use her professional, educational and personal experiences as she assists patients in discovering personalized treatment options. As an LMSW, Patricia can see self pay patients and those on a limited number of EAP and insurance panels.

Sydney Adams Ordonio

Sydney Adams is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker working primarily with those in their late teens through geriatrics in individual, marital or family therapy. She partners with her clients to address their issues and accomplish their goals. She specializes in treatment of mental illness, phase of life issues, grief and loss, reconciliation, divorce, adjustment to medical or mental health diagnosis, occupational issues, spiritual issues, trauma, abuse and women's issues. She specializes in Christian Counseling and is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. She received her Master of Social Work degree in 2002, with a concentration in Mental Health, from the University of Houston Graduate School of Social Work where she was on the Dean's List, a member of Psi Chi, a scholarship recipient and the President of the National Association of Christians in Social Work. She initially began working in Kingwood in 2003 at HealthPartners under Erica Burden, PhD, where she served as both a Psychotherapist and a Clinical Test Administrator. She launched her own private practice in 2006 off 1960 and Red Oak, but relocated her office to Kingwood in 2009. With the desire to better meet the needs of the community, she expanded into group practice, launching Kingwood Counseling Center in 2018 where she serves as Clinical Director. Sydney is available for both in person and Telehealth sessions.

Yvonne Hinojosa

Yvonne is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who is fluent in both Spanish and English. She earned both her Bachelor and Master's degrees from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. She has worked in various settings with both adults and adolescents and has experience working with anxiety, depression, marital or relationship conflicts, parent/child conflicts, behavioral issues, acculturation, occupational issues, educational and post secondary-related problems, self harm, grief, and adjustment to life difficulties.
