Anita Moss - COO

In her role as Director of Operations, Moss is responsible for the overall operations and staff management of LifeHouse Group. She ensures that all treatment services, training, and reporting are consistent with best practices and licensing requirements. As a member of the management team, she provides strategic leadership regarding future projects and regularly reports to the CEO and Board of Directors on matters pertaining to current operations and outcomes. Moss has significant experience in operations management for rehabilitation and non-profit organizations in the Chicago area. In her most recent position, Moss served as the Treatment Supervisor for Abraxas Youth and Family Services, where she oversaw operations for the medical detoxification and residential substance abuse treatment programs. Moss earned a B.A. in Applied Behavior Sciences and a Masters in Adult Education from National Louis University. She is CADC, CODP/MISA and Gain Assessor certified. Moss is passionate about taking care of people, and she believes strongly that all individuals deserve a second chance at healthy living options.

Annie Pike

As the External Communications Manager, Pike supports LifeHouse Group's position as a leader in providing adult recovery services. She is responsible for the development and execution of an external communications strategy that aligns with LifeHouse Group's vision and mission. Her role includes building and maintaining relationships with all relevant audiences, including government agencies, partner providers, residents and their families, and social and business media. Prior to joining LifeHouse Group, Pike worked as an attorney for approximately twenty years, where she sharpened and refined her advocacy and communication skills. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in photography from The University of New Mexico and a Juris Doctor from Saint Louis University School of Law. She is delighted to work with the LifeHouse Group community in its challenging work of providing resources for adult men in need of recovery services.

Daniel Walsh - CEO, Chairman, Founder

As the founder of LifeHouse Group, Walsh brings extensive experience in corporate planning, financial strategy, and risk management to his role as CEO. His responsibilities at LifeHouse Group include management of the LifeHouse Residential Recovery Services facility, coordinating with the Illinois DHS Division of Substance Use Prevention and Recovery, Illinois Department of Corrections and National Able through the SNAP to Success program, establishing relationships with LifeHouse Recovery Organization's partners, creating and working within sustainable budgetary constraints, and overseeing hiring and management of the management team. Prior to his position at LifeHouse Group, Walsh worked as a senior trader and fund manager at Lerner Trading Group, where he demonstrated the ability to lead and mentor teams while maintaining high ethical standards. Since 2010, Walsh has served on the Board of Directors of Good Shepherd Manor, a facility that houses and employs men with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Walsh earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1999, and he received an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 2020. Walsh also serves on the board of the AYSO youth soccer organization and the finance committee of St. Catherine Laboure grade school.

Ernest Jenkins

In his role as Employment Coordinator and Outreach Consultant, Jenkins coordinates with employers, employment agencies and various organizations to promote LifeHouse Group's operations and the job skills of its residents. He plays a crucial role in developing and fostering relationships with employers to assist LifeHouse Group in providing its residents with employment opportunities that are instrumental to a successful recovery. Similarly, he seeks and creates connections with organizations that provide additional resources to LifeHouse residents, such as clothing and food donations, or external educational opportunities. He also plays an important role in providing timely and accurate internal communications to LifeHouse Group's residents. Because Jenkins has had similar experiences to many others at LifeHouse Group, he understands the internal resolve required to rebuild a life. Jenkins loves his work and takes it very seriously because he understands that having a good job is instrumental to a person's successful future. He derives great satisfaction in watching LifeHouse Group's residents, who arrive with little or no resources, begin to work their recovery program, and gradually develop the skills necessary to lead fully independent lives.

Frank Lowe

In his role as Director of Programming, Lowe is responsible for designing and implementing high quality and effective classes, training and rehabilitative services for LifeHouse Group residents. Lowe provides management supervision to program staff and he assists other members of the management team in ensuring that all programs are compliant with regulatory requirements and agency contracts. Lowe brings 20 years of direct experience in substance abuse services and supportive housing, including comprehensive knowledge of the issues that affect vulnerable, at-risk populations. Most recently, Lowe served as the Clinical Director of MAT for PLCCA in Maywood, Illinois, where he was responsible for organizing all facets of substance abuse programs. He has an extensive background in clinical supervision and supportive services with several well-regarded organizations throughout the Chicago area. Lowe received his bachelor's degree, with a focus on social sciences, and a Master of Arts degree in community counseling, along with a graduate certificate in nonprofit management from Roosevelt University. Lowe also is certified as a CADC counselor, a harm reduction facilitator and in SOAR. Lowe uses a "housing first" philosophy in his work at LifeHouse Group, believing that a stable residential environment provides vulnerable populations with the platform needed to achieve family reunification, a healthy lifestyle, and job-related successes.

Greg Siejka - CFO

In his role as Chief Financial Officer, Siejka manages financial operations and strategy for LifeHouse Group. His responsibilities include billing, financial compliance, payroll for LifeHouse Group employees, budgeting, and grant writing and administration. He is particularly focused on using state and federal agency grants to diversify revenue streams and design programs and services that ensure a wraparound level of care for residents. Siejka has over 12 years of experience in the financial services sector. He earned a B.S. from the University of Illinois and holds a CFA certification.

Jeffrey Loeb

  • Legal Advisor and Strategist to
Loeb serves as legal advisor and strategist to LifeHouse Group. He currently works as the Managing Director and Registered In-House Counsel for CliffWater, LLC, an alternative investment and fund manager company. As a legal professional, his subject matter expertise encompasses the following specializations: mergers and acquisitions, corporate law and private equity investments. He is a graduate of Dartmouth College and Harvard Law School.

Jesse Fuller - EVP

Fuller was deeply involved in the startup and operations of LifeHouse Recovery Organization, the 501(c)(3) affiliate of LifeHouse Group that provides recovery services to residents. Currently, he is responsible for purchasing, facility improvements and property acquisitions for LifeHouse Group and LifeHouse Recovery Organization. Previously, Fuller was the President of American Group Financial, Inc., a finance company that specialized in equipment leasing, financing and asset-based loans. Fuller is also involved in several other companies, including Lifetime Benefits, LLC, which purchases and sells life insurance policies and coordinates sales in personal protective equipment. Fuller attended Southeastern College, Aurora Business College and is a licensed real estate agent in Illinois. He and three partners donated the funds necessary to build a church in Elgin, Illinois.

Liz Johnson

In her role as Intake Coordinator, Johnson is responsible for assessing potential residents of LifeHouse Group to find men who could most benefit from LifeHouse Group's comprehensive blend of services and supports. To make these assessments, Johnson conducts interviews in person and over the phone to develop individual profiles that include substance use history, family background, current living arrangement, and general demeanor. She also conducts outreach in Illinois prisons to educate returning citizens about LifeHouse Group and the services we provide.

Marcia Teverbaugh

In her role as case manager, Teverbaugh is responsible for coordinating and supervising services for LifeHouse Group's residents. Teverbaugh meets individually with each client to gain a clear understanding of their current needs and future goals to help them develop their individual recovery plans. Teverbaugh brings patience, empathy, and a keen desire to make a positive difference to her work. She recognizes that her clients are frequently coming to LifeHouse Group after a lifetime of struggles and disappointments. She wants to help her clients get whatever support they require to successfully navigate a life in sobriety. Teverbaugh has seven years of case management experience. She also served honorably for four years in the United States Marine Corps where she learned self-discipline and how to work well under pressure. She loves watching LifeHouse Group residents achieve their personal milestones as they begin rebuilding their lives.

Melissa Guerra

In her role as case manager, Guerra is responsible for coordinating and supervising services for LifeHouse Group's clients. Guerra consults with her clients to develop individual plans to obtain healthcare, housing, and employment services. Guerra is also responsible for overseeing LifeHouse Group's "Snap to Success" workforce development program that helps residents to develop skills that are relevant to today's job market. Prior to joining LifeHouse, Guerra worked for more that fifteen years as a case manager where she helped families to establish specific goals for their children to be successful in school. Guerra has an associate degree in child development from Olive-Harvey College. She is fluent in Spanish and a native Chicagoan. She enjoys helping people to help themselves while also working to ensure that her clients have a deep appreciation of their self-worth.

Mike Piontek

In his role as Director of Facility Management, Piontek oversees the day-to-day operations of LifeHouse, including security, transportation, and the physical plant to ensure that they run smoothly and in accordance with LifeHouse Group's rules and regulations. In addition, he supervises the recovery coaches, house manager, and maintenance staff. Piontek and his employees act as liaisons between the residents and other members of the management team in instances where issues need to be resolved. Piontek joined LifeHouse Group after a successful 14-year career in business management and franchise ownership. He enjoys using his skills in human relations and problem solving in his work at the company.

Morgan Brosch

In her role as Program Manager, Brosch is responsible for LifeHouse Group's workforce development program that sets residents on a path toward a sustainable career path and economic self-sufficiency. She also supervises the case managers in their duties of helping residents develop individualized recovery plans that address current needs and future goals. Her role also encompasses supervising the intake coordinator and the process for identifying and assessing individuals who seek out LifeHouse Group's services. Brosch draws on her background in social work to provide career counseling and case management advice to her team and LifeHouse residents. Brosch has years of experience in early childhood education and family service counseling, having served multiple roles with Genius Head Start in Indiana. She enjoys using her social work skills with the residents of LifeHouse Group as they strive to gain the skills and education necessary to live successfully in recovery. She is passionate about making a difference in these men's lives. Brosch earned a Bachelor of Social Work and Nonprofit Management from Indiana University Northwest and has a Masters of Education from Grand Canyon University.

Rosamaria Mendoza

In her role as case manager, Mendoza is responsible for coordinating and supervising services for LifeHouse Group's residents. Mendoza works closely with her clients to develop individualized recovery plans that include objectives related to healthcare, employment, education, and addiction treatment. Mendoza educates individuals on the opportunities available to them and provides practical guidance coupled with empathetic support to help them navigate the recovery process. Mendoza understands that creating trusting relationships with individual residents is key to being an effective case manager. Mendoza has worked with all kinds of people of various ages and backgrounds because she enjoys connecting with others and helping them improve their lives. Prior to joining LifeHouse Group, Mendoza worked for seven years as a case manager and parent/infant educator at El Valor. Previously, she spent four years working in Chicago Public Schools. She is fluent in Spanish and spends time in her garden or outside whenever she gets the chance.

Sterling Gildersleeve

GIldersleeve has more than 30 years of senior operations and management experience in social services. He began his career in 1990 as a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor with Lutheran Social Services and continued to gain experience before becoming the Executive Director of A Safe Haven in 1998, where he worked until 2014. In the executive director role, he was responsible for the design, implementation and management of programs for 16 facilities that served 1500 men, women and children. Under his direction, A Safe Haven provided substance abuse services, workforce development programs, short and long - term aftercare, and other services to support independent living. He increased A Safe Haven's revenues from $1.5 million to $11.5 million, designed programs that lead to a 200% increase in client populations, and collaborated with the Cook County Jail to reduce recidivism and overcrowding. Since 2015, Gildersleeve has served as President and CEO of Phoenix Recovery Support Services, a men's sober living facility in Chicago. He holds a B.S. in social work from Trinity College and University and is certified as an addictions counselor, recovery specialist and HIV educator.
