J. NICHOLAS KLEIN, III

J. Nicholas ("Nick") Klein, III received his Bachelor of Science in accounting in 1968 from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. In 1976, he received his Juris Doctor from the University of Memphis (formerly Memphis State University). In law school, Nick graduated first in his class and rose to Comments Editor of the Law Review. He has practiced law in Accomack and Northampton counties on Virginia's Eastern Shore for thirty-five years. For nearly fifteen years, he has been the Assistant Commissioner of Accounts and a Commissioner in Chancery of the Circuit Court, both positions appointed by the resident Circuit Court Judge of Accomack and Northampton County, Virginia. Nick has been a member of the Virginia State Bar and the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association since 1977. He has tried cases before trial judges and juries for thirty-five years in the General District and Circuit Courts. He is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, a prestigious group whose membership is restricted to the less than 1% of U.S. attorneys nationwide who have won million or multi-million dollar verdicts or settlements. In 2004, Nick was appointed to a three-year term by the Supreme Court of Virginia as an at-large member of the Virginia State Bar Council and then was reappointed to a second three-year term. Prior to that, he held the Vice-Chairmanship and Chairmanship of the Client's Protection Fund, established to protect people who suffer financial losses due to dishonest conduct by Virginia lawyers.

Our receptionist, Janie Pruitt, is a personal injury paralegal and has been with the firm since May 2000.

JONATHAN R. DELOATCHE

Jonathan is a life long resident of the Tidewater area. He received his undergraduate degree from James Madison University in 1992 and his law degree from the T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond in 1995. Prior to forming Williams DeLoatche, Jonathan defended the largest taxicab company in Norfolk and its drivers in civil defense litigation and traffic matters before representing injured persons in personal injury cases. He has also represented insurance companies and their insureds in suits involving construction law, fraud, breach of contract and personal injuries. He is been involved in litigation throughout the Southeastern United States and has tried hundreds of matters in the Tidewater area, Eastern Shore and Northern Neck. Jonathan's practice now focuses on representing individuals in matters involving motor vehicle accidents, wrongful death, nursing home neglect, brain injuries, premises liability and traffic matters including DUI's. Jonathan also represents incapacitated minors as a guardian ad litem in civil cases. Jonathan is very active in the community through his membership in the Chesapeake Rotary Club which works to provide charitable donations to organizations throughout the area. He is also a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church, the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, the Virginia State Bar and the Norfolk Portsmouth Bar Association and the Virginia Beach Bar Association.

T. WAYNE WILLIAMS

Wayne is a native of the Eastern Shore of Virginia and a 20 year plus resident of the Hampton Roads area. He received his undergraduate degree in history from the University of Virginia in 1995 and his law degree from the Regent University School of Law in 2000. Prior to forming Williams DeLoatche P.C., Wayne worked for a small local civil litigation firm and a large statewide litigation firm. In his career, Wayne has handled personal lines claims for large and small insurance companies as well as self-insured companies located throughout the country. For those companies, he represented their insureds in suits involving automotive accidents resulting in personal injury, premises liability matters resulting in personal injury, construction litigation, and claims for fraud, defamation and breach of contract. Wayne has also handled subrogation and worker's compensation matters. He has been involved in litigation throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia and has tried hundreds of matters in General District Courts and Circuit Courts in Hampton Roads, the Northern Neck, Richmond and the counties of the Eastern Shore. Wayne's practice now primarily focuses on civil litigation representing individuals injured in motor vehicle accidents and premises liability incidents and nursing home abuse cases as well as defending insureds for a number of commercial insurance carriers. Wayne also represents clients in traffic cases in all Hampton Roads jurisdictions and surrounding areas and Accomack and Northampton Counties on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. Wayne is also a fully qualified guardian ad litem for incapacitated individuals in civil cases throughout the area. He is admitted to practice in all local state courts and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. Wayne is a member of the Norfolk and Portsmouth Bar Association, Virginia Beach Bar Association, and the Virginia State Bar. He is active in the Norfolk and Portsmouth Bar Association serving as a Past President of the organization, as well as currently serving on the Foundation Board. Wayne was the proud recipient of the prestigious Walter E. Hoffman award in 2010 which is presented by the Norfolk and Portsmouth Bar Association for outstanding community service. Wayne is active in the community with the Sertoma Club of Norfolk, which raises money for individuals with speech and hearing problems and other worthwhile causes throughout Hampton Roads. He is a past President of the Sertoma Club. Wayne has also done fund raising for the American Lung Association in memory of his father to support his cause of asthma research. Wayne also serves on the Towne Bank Leadership Alliance Board and boards for several other local businesses. He is also a member of the Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce and the Onancock Rotary Club. For his business success and community involvement, he was honored as one of the top 40 professionals under 40 in the Hampton Roads area by Inside Business in 2010. He recently was named to the Top Lawyers award for Coastal Virginia Magazine and CoVaBIZ, Wayne is a member of Francis Asbury United Methodist Church and resides in Virginia Beach with his wife Liz and two daughters, Grace and Sarah.
