Amy Acevedo

Amy Acevedo serves as an Analyst. In this role, Amy creates and analyzes client investment performance reports, prepares analytical material for clients, and assists with the firm's overall research effort. Prior to joining Sellwood, Amy served as an Investment Analyst at Arnerich Massena, Inc., and RVK, Inc. Amy earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Portland State University and is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Portland. Outside of the office, Amy enjoys making pottery, reading, and spending time with friends and family.

Ashlee Moehring

Ashlee Moehring serves as a Consultant and Principal of Sellwood Consulting LLC and co-founded the firm. She sits on Sellwood's Board of Directors and Investment Committee. She is also the firm's Chief Compliance Officer. Ashlee's 20 years of experience include the leadership of consulting relationships with endowments and foundations, corporate pension and defined contribution plans, labor and health trusts, and health care and other non-profit reserve assets, ranging in size from several million to several billion dollars. Ashlee also has experience in manager research efforts, quantitative analysis, and performance measurement. Prior to co-founding Sellwood Consulting LLC, Ashlee served as a Consultant, Principal, and Chief Compliance Officer for R.V. Kuhns & Associates (now RVK). Ashlee earned a BS in Finance and Mathematics from Linfield College, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Portland. Ashlee is an active member of the Portland Women in Investment Management (PWIM) organization, the Portland Leaders and Executives Across Professions (LEAP) group, the Portland Chapter of the Western Pension & Benefits Council, and the Women in Pensions Network. Ashlee was honored as the Linfield College Outstanding Young Alumna of the Year for 2014. Outside of the office, Ashlee enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She is active in her community, as part of the Parent Support Organization (PSO) for Charles F. Tigard Elementary and Fowler Middle School, as well as volunteering at events for Friends of Trees and the Sunshine Division Food Pantry. Ashlee is also an avid sports fan, having played collegiate basketball, and enjoys hiking and camping.

Charlie Waibel

Charlie Waibel, CFA, is the Managing Principal of Sellwood Consulting LLC and co-founded the firm. He chairs Sellwood's Board of Directors and Investment Committee. He has extensive experience advising healthcare providers, endowments and foundations, corporate and governmental retirement plans, as well as select private wealth clients. He has also served as a trustee to a large healthcare system retirement plan as well as several foundations. Charlie is a frequent speaker at national investment industry conferences and seminars. Charlie has 25 years of investment experience. Prior to co-founding Sellwood Consulting, Charlie was a Senior Consultant, Principal, and part of the executive management group at R.V. Kuhns & Associates (now RVK). His clients there included some of that firm's largest relationships. Before Kuhns, Charlie was a portfolio manager at regional investment firm Badgley, Phelps and Bell. He earned his Bachelors degree in Natural Science at Lewis and Clark College and his Medical Degree at Oregon Health Sciences University with post-graduate training at UCLA. He has held the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation since 2000 and is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Portland. Charlie volunteers as a Board member for World of Speed, and he and his wife sponsor a scholar, currently in college, for Marathon Education Partners. Charlie also oversees his family's fifth generation family farm in Hillsboro, Oregon.

Elizabeth Zimmerman

Elizabeth Zimmerman serves as Sellwood Consulting's Office Administrator. In this role, Elizabeth organizes our office, client deliverables, meetings, staff appreciation events, and calendars. Elizabeth graduated from Lewis & Clark College, earning a Bachelor of Arts in French Studies with a minor in Mathematics. Prior to joining Sellwood, she served as a Shift Supervisor at Starbucks and interned at the Portland Children's Museum. She has also tutored Math & Logic. Outside of the office, Elizabeth runs cross country, having run for the Pioneers in college. She enjoys spending time with her family, and is a sustaining member of OPB.

John McLaughlin

John McLaughlin serves as a Consultant with Sellwood Consulting LLC. In his role, John leads Sellwood's investment manager research effort in addition to contributing to firmwide research on behalf of clients. John has 17 years of investment experience. Prior to Sellwood, John worked as a portfolio manager at Morningstar Investment Management LLC. While at Morningstar, John managed several billion dollars in multi-asset mutual funds as a prospectus-listed fund manager. Additionally, he was a key team member contributing to the strategy and launch of Morningstar's own mutual fund business. John also has prior experience as a Vice President within Callan LLC's discretionary investment practice and as a Consultant at R.V. Kuhns & Associates (now RVK). John started his career in analytical roles at Russell Investments and Moss Adams LLP. John earned his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business with concentrations in Analytic Finance, Accounting, Econometrics and Statistics. He also earned his BABA in Finance from Seattle University where he graduated with high honors. Additionally, John is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. He is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Portland. Outside of the office, John enjoys cycling, rock climbing, and gardening. He volunteers in the community with The Oregon Food Bank, which is dedicated to eliminating hunger and its root causes.

Kevin Raymond

Kevin Raymond serves as a Consultant and Principal of Sellwood Consulting LLC and co-founded the firm. He sits on Sellwood's Board of Directors and Investment Committee. Kevin has 25 years of investment experience, including extensive experience leading investment consulting relationships for defined contribution and pension plans, endowments and foundations, health care and operating reserve portfolios ranging in size from several million to several billion dollars. Prior to co-founding Sellwood Consulting LLC, Kevin served as a Consultant and Principal for R.V. Kuhns & Associates (now RVK), as a Senior Manager in the Corporate Development and Venture Investment groups with Sun Microsystems (now Oracle Corporation), and as an Associate in the Technology Investment Banking group of Advest (now Merrill Lynch). Kevin earned an MBA from the Duke University Fuqua School of Business, graduating as a Fuqua Scholar. He also earned a BA in Economics from Middlebury College, graduating Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. Kevin is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Portland. He also serves as the Chair of the Oregon Episcopal School's Endowment Investment Committee. Outside of work, Kevin enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids and rooting for Boston's professional sports teams.

Liam Herlihy

Liam Herlihy serves as an Associate with Sellwood Consulting LLC. In this role, Liam creates and analyzes client investment performance reports, prepares analytical material for clients, and assists with the firm's overall research effort. Liam is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Portland. He has passed Level 1 of the CFA Exam. Liam graduated Summa Cum Laude in May 2019 from Linfield College, earning a Bachelor of Science in Finance. He also pitched for the Linfield Wildcats baseball team. Outside of the office, Liam enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, and traveling.

Lucy Newman

Lucy earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Carleton College in June 2021, where she served as Captain of the Water Polo team and completed her senior comprehensive project on trinucleotide repeat expansion disorders. Outside of the office, Lucy enjoys rock climbing, skiing, and spending time with her friends and family.

Nick Woodward

Nick Woodward serves as a Consultant and Principal for Sellwood Consulting. He sits on Sellwood's Investment Committee. Nick's 17 years of investment experience include the leadership of consulting relationships with endowments and foundations, retirement plans, labor trusts, and operating reserve portfolios, ranging from several million to several billion dollars in size. Prior to joining Sellwood Consulting, Nick served as a Consultant, Principal, and Department Manager for RVK, Inc (formerly RV Kuhns & Associates). His career experience also includes time spent as an Analyst at Bates Private Capital. Nick earned a Bachelor of Business Administration, Finance, from the University of Portland. He is a CFA charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Portland. Outside of the office, Nick spends time with his wife and three children, is an avid cyclist, and coaches basketball, soccer, and little league.

Ruthie Zimmerman

Ruthie has served as a volunteer for the Hood to Coast Relay for 20 years. Outside of work, Ruthie enjoys spending time with her family at the Oregon coast.

Ryan Fitzgerald

Ryan Fitzgerald serves as a Consultant with Sellwood Consulting LLC. He is a member of the Investment Committee. In his role at Sellwood, Ryan analyzes client portfolios, prepares analytical materials for clients, and writes economic and market commentary. He contributes to manager research generally, and leads Sellwood's marketable alternatives research. He is also responsible for Sellwood's capital market assumptions. Prior to joining Sellwood Consulting LLC, Ryan served as an Investment Analyst for R.V. Kuhns & Associates. He is a CFA charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Portland. Ryan earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, with General Honors, from The University of Chicago. He also served for two years as the captain of The University of Chicago's varsity men's soccer team. Ryan enjoys soccer, camping, and reading about economics. He volunteers in the community with Every Body Athletics, which is devoted to improving the lives of adults experiencing disabilities through group athletic training.

Ryan's 21 years of experience include the leadership of advisory relationships with private and public pension clients, endowments and foundations, and defined contribution plans, ranging in size from several million to several billion dollars. Ryan has authored several research papers for the firm. Prior to co-founding Sellwood Consulting LLC, Ryan worked for R.V. Kuhns & Associates (now RVK), and Cambridge Associates LLC. Ryan earned a BA in Economics from University of Virginia. He is a CFA charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Portland. Ryan is a private pilot and published photographer. He currently serves as a board member for Morrison Child & Family Services, a non-profit organization that provides effective and responsive services for children and youth coping with adversity and trauma. He has also served on the Board of Free Geek, a non-profit organization transforming used technology into opportunity.
