Dr. Jennifer Stimpson

Blending science, substance, and style, Dr. Jennifer Stimpson makes science a wonderfully exciting learning experience for students. Currently, Jennifer is serving a yearlong fellowship as a 2020-2021 Albert Einstein Distinguished Educator Fellow through the Department of Energy. On sabbatical from teaching science, Dr. Stimpson is a middle school science educator at The Hockaday School in Dallas, Texas.In 2019, Jennifer was selected as an AAAS/IF THEN Science Ambassador to inspire the next generation of female scientists.Jennifer started her career as a forensic toxicologist at the Dallas County Morgue. She was a forensic chemist for the Drug Enforcement Administration, where she earned her Federal Basic Chemist certificate from the FBI Headquarters in Quantico, VA. In 2014, Ms.Stimpson founded JSTEMP Science, an education platform introducing and attracting students to science through exposure,encouragement, inspiration, and relevant teachings from within their community.Dr. Stimpson has also been honored by O: The Oprah Magazine, The State of Texas, US Congress, Michael Jordan Foundation, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Dallas County Community College District, which recently called her a role model for future STEM teachers. To recognize her efforts in the future of science, Jennifer received the Hidden Figures in STEM award from the National Society of Black Engineers.Jennifer participated in global education initiatives in Ghana and Brazil. She also spearheaded a Leadership Academy in Uganda.Jennifer is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., The Links Incorporated, Leadership Texas, The Dallas Summit, and serves on the STEM advisory board for the Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas.Dr. Stimpson earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry at Dillard University, a Master of Arts degree in Chemistry at the University of Northern Iowa; and earned her Doctorate in Education from the University of Pennsylvania.

Ivy Williams

  • Staff Quality Engineer for Worldwide Safety
Ivy is a Staff Quality Engineer for Worldwide Safety and Assurance. She is currently employed at Walt Disney World in Orlando Florida. During her fourteen year tenure at Disney, she's worked to drive continuous improvement to the business with improved attraction maintenance programs and ensured safety and compliance of attractions to industry and local standards. Ivy has served as a mentor to aspiring engineers at the Disney Dreamers Academy. This academy is an annual four-day, transformational mentoring program that brings high school students from across the United States to Walt Disney World Resort for an immersive learning experience. Her role has landed her international assignments including Disneyland Paris and the opening team for Shanghai Disneyland. Ivy is a native of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Florida A&M University College of Engineering and a Master's degree in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from University of Michigan.

Tiffani Teachey

Tiffani Teachey is a Sr. Mechanical Engineer, STEM advocate, professional speaker, and international best-selling author of the children's book What Can I Be? STEM Careers from A to Z and a women's empowerment book called Saving Lives While Fighting for Mine: Stories to Empower Women to Win. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, as well as a Masters of Science degree in Engineering Management, both from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte.As an engineer with more than sixteen years of experience, Tiffani has a passion for inspiring the next generation to engage in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) careers. She was born and raised in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, enjoys traveling and being a youth mentor.Tiffani Teachey is a member of various organizations such as a lifetime member of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc, and the Columbia (SC) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated.
