Dr Adrian Pendleton

Dr Adrian Pendleton is a Consultant Rheumatologist in the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust with clinics in the Royal Victoria Hospital and Musgrave Park Hospital. He trained in both Rheumatology and General Internal Medicine in Belfast and Nottingham and he is on the GMC Specialist Register with dual certification in both Rheumatology and General Internal Medicine. He was first appointed as a consultant Rheumatologist at the Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham University Hospitals before returning to Belfast. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland and a Fellow of the British Society for Sport and Exercise Medicine (BASEM). He was the Northern Ireland Regional Specialty Advisor for Rheumatology 2007 - 2014. He is currently the Northern Ireland regional Rheumatology representative for the British Society for Rheumatology, and he is on the Irish Society for Rheumatology council. He holds EFSUMB certification and is a national tutor in musculoskeletal ultrasound. He has more than 20 peer reviewed publications across a range of rheumatic diseases.

Dr Andrew Cairns

Dr Andrew Cairns is a Consultant Rheumatologist in the Belfast HSC Trust based at Musgrave Park Hospital, Belfast where he was appointed in 2004. Dr Cairns also provides rheumatology clinics in Belfast City Hospital. He qualified in Medicine from Queen's University Belfast in 1995, trained in Belfast and Edinburgh and is an Honorary Clinical Lecturer at Queen's University, Belfast. He is on the GMC Specialist Register for Rheumatology. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of London, the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, and the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. He is a member of the British Society for Rheumatology and is a member of the Board of the Irish Society for Rheumatology. He also holds an MSc degree in Sport and Exercise Medicine. He is a musculoskeletal ultrasound tutor and has published in a wide range of rheumatic diseases including rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, SLE, and in the use of biologic drugs and musculoskeletal ultrasound.

Dr Gary D Wright

Dr Gary D Wright qualified in Medicine from Queens University Belfast in 1987. His postgraduate training in Rheumatology was in Belfast and Nottingham UK. He is on the GMC Specialist Register for Rheumatology. He holds an NHS Consultant post at the Royal Victoria and Musgrave Park Hospitals in Belfast. He is an Honorary Clinical Lecturer at Queens University Belfast. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of London, Edinburgh and Ireland and is a member of the British Society for Rheumatology. He is past President of the Irish Society for Rheumatology 2012-2014. He was the Royal College of Physicians of London Regional Advisor for Northern Ireland from 2008-12 He has EFSUMB certification in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound and is a tutor for The British Society and Irish Society for rheumatology basic and advanced musculoskeletal ultrasound courses. His research interests include the genetics of rheumatic disease, osteoarthritis, early diagnosis and treatment of inflammatory arthritis and musculoskeletal ultrasound. He has more than 50 publications in peer reviewed journals relating to all aspects of rheumatic disorders.
