Since founding Vocal Media, she has been an advisor to leading progressive advocacy organizations and nonprofits on issues from climate change to abortion access and voting rights. Before founding Vocal Media, Malia was a political communications strategist, advising progressive organizations, startups, and candidates on communications, public relations, and youth engagement across a range of issues-including gun violence prevention, voting rights, political data & technology, net neutrality, DACA, and mass incarceration. Malia is an alum of the Clinton Campaign and the Center for American Progress.

Shannon Cooke is the Director of Campaigns at Vocal Media. As the Director of Campaigns, she thrives on solving complex problems for our clients. Especially if the solution involves Shrek in the sky.
Shira Klasky-Gamer is the Director of Operations at Vocal Media. She's a big fan of transparent systems, a well organized database, and making sure the trains (and payroll) run on time. Before coming to Vocal, she worked on electoral campaigns across the country. Outside of work, she still loves a well organized system, advocating for public education, sunflower seeds, and doomscrolling.
