- Studio Co‑Ordinator & Practice Operations Assistant
Alistair heads up our Canterbury Studio.
He has over 15 years of experience in the built environment with a focus on technical design and delivery.
Alistair works across a wide variety of sectors, in particular on masterplannig and residential projects. With a vast amount of technical delivery experience, he has worked with a broad range of developers and clients to deliver large scale and challenging smaller projects at all stages from early design to completion.

With projects throughout the UK, Andy has been at the forefront of many of our larger regeneration projects and mixed use developments.
With emphasis on the delivery of sustainable communities and placemaking, he is actively involved with all design projects in our Leeds Studio and ensures that each project assignment is delivered to the highest design standards possible.
Andy has wide-ranging experience of the residential market, having designed and delivered schemes for large, volume housebuilders, institutions and private developers. His public sector expertise includes the masterplanning of Ministry of Defence disposal sites to establish open market values, working closely with public bodies such as HCA, Homes England and DIO.

Ben Round is Corstorphine & Wright's Group Finance Director, joining the Practice in 2019.
A qualified chartered accountant, Ben joined the practice with considerable experience of working within the architectural field, having previously supported another national practice in developing professional organisational structures which have facilitated increases in both size and number of projects delivered.
Ben's role is vital in helping to shape the future of the business and ensure that Corstorphine & Wright have the correct processes in place so that we can continue to deliver projects of the same high standard of services for our clients.
Prior to moving into the architectural field, Ben began his career working at high profile organisations including KPMG and Rolls Royce Aerospace.

Carl is an experienced and capable member of our Techncial Team.
He leads a team in our Stourbridge Studio, managing and delivering large scale student residential projects throughout the country
With vast technical experience across a whole range of sectors, coupled with Carl's construction and project delivery knowledge means he is perfectly placed to deliver our client's projects.

Charles has a wide range of commercial design experience; working on retail, office, residential, industrial and leisure projects and has a particular interest and expertise in urban regeneration with an emphasis on sustainable mixed-use redevelopment.
A leader with strategic perception and decision making qualities, he is analytical, thorough and able to make critical and penetrating judgements and manage complex interactions.
Through his passion for realising projects in the most sustainable way, Charles established himself as one of the country's leading specialists and has been a speaker at major industry events. He was a key contributor to the Sustainability Section of the 2014 Edition of the British Council of Offices, Guide to Specification and previously contributed to the BCO Guide to fit-out and made a significant contribution in both the Architecture and Sustainability Section of the 2009 BCO Guide to Specification. He is passionate about charity work, having raised in excess of £7,000 for charity, including raising £3500 for Macmillan Cancer Care by cycling from Edinburgh to Inverness (185 miles) in two days.

A meticulous approach to detail and the pursuit of simplicity underpins Chris' design philosophy from concept through to completion.
Chris's 17 years of experience in the Healthcare, Commercial and Residential sectors across the UK. He works closely with clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, to budget and to a high standard.
Chris has played a key role on numerous successful projects including Priory Medical Centre in Warwick, Newtown Medical Centre in Birmingham and is currently pioneering one of the UK's first net-zero carbon Medical Centres in Polegate. Chris has also worked on many complex mixed-use schemes and Neighbourhood Centres for some of the UK's leading Commercial and Residential Developers.

Chris is a highly-skilled architect with a focus on delivering high-quality spaces that provide both commercial and social value. He is currently the Office Sector Lead for Corstorphine & Wright.
Chris has extensive and varied experience in the UK, leading projects across several sectors, including Commercial, Leisure, Residential and Public Buildings.
He specialises in leading projects from Planning through to Completion, working closely with Clients and Contractors to maintain quality at all stages. His enthusiasm, close attention to detail and collaborative approach has helped him build strong relationships within the industry.Chris is also passionate about Architectural Education, serving as the Part 1 and Part 2 Mentor for the Practice. He regularly teaches at universities across the country, including Nottingham, Derby, Lincoln, and Coventry, where he is a member of the Undergraduate Course Advisory Board.

Dan has significant experience in designing mixed-use private commercial and large-scale residential schemes, as well as delivering high-quality designs in the student residential, care-home and retail sectors.
He has been an integral part of the team to secure planning for The Martlets redevelopment scheme in Burgess Hill, as well as recently delivering the McCarthy and Stone Assisted Living development in Stratford-Upon-Avon.
His previous experience includes the delivery of high-quality large scale residential developments, as well as being a member of a team delivering a block at the London 2012 Athletes Village.

As a Studio Director, Dan ensures we are delivering high quality and buildable design solutions across a range of projects for public and private sector clients.
Dan leads a team of Architects and Technologists and has extensive experience in the design and delivery of complex, mixed use and residential projects with particular expertise in urban regeneration projects, and large-scale infrastructure schemes.
Dan has worked with developers, executive architects and specialist design teams throughout the UK to deliver a wide range of projects from concept development through to works on site and building handover. He has the ability to manage multi-disciplinary consultant and client teams to deliver a fully coordinated and integrated approach to development.

With over 18 years of experience in the construction industry, Daniel is a key member of our technical design and delivery team.
Daniel is a Fellow Member of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists leads our internal staff CIAT development programme at the practice.
Working on several of Corstorphine & Wright's largest and most complex projects he is a highly capable and skilled technical lead. Daniel has a great technical understanding of projects across a range of sectors but thrives in the residential sector, whether it's a high rise development or a large complex waterside scheme.

Leading our defence team, David is an Architect with extensive experience in the delivery of numerous complex projects across the UK Government Estate
He works with public sector organisations including Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO). David is responsible for strategic assessment and delivery of multiple feasibility, viability, option and assessment studies through to the delivery and full design of facilities necessary to allow the military to effectively Live, Work and Train.
David works with our clients in the development of existing and emerging requirements through effective stakeholder engagement and leads multi-disciplinary design teams.
He has extensive experience in the architectural design and masterplanning for a wide range of MoD facilities ranging in value from £1m to £300m+, including high security and protected environs for specialist operational requirements, relocation of major military units, facilities on or adjacent to active airfields, explosive storage and processing facilities and plotting of associated safeguard zones, armouries and gatehouses.

Derek has a wealth of knowledge of the private commercial development sector.
Derek understands the importance of clear communication and collaboration to deliver best value for clients and has developed a commercial awareness of the important role that Architecture plays in maximising value which directly influences the commercial viability of a scheme.
He joined the Glasgow Studio in 2019 to bring over 30 years of professional experience and a wealth of knowledge of the private commercial development sector.
He has a particular interested in the early stages of client interaction, covering brief formulation and end user / stakeholder engagement consultations from which a strong concept design is formulated.
He has worked closely with an array of differing scales of developer clients across a wide range of development typologies from inception through to completion including offices, retail, residential, industrial and more recently in the hotels and hospitality sector, interacting with the wider UK hotels community and designing to multiple brand requirements. These projects are often within the context of larger mixed-use inner and city centre regeneration schemes.

Doug is an experienced Project Architect with over 20 years of post qualification experience.
He has been coordinating and leading the delivery of a range of projects from high rise student residential to large scale urban residential regeneration schemes.
Doug has built a broad portfolio including successful projects for key clients in the hotel and leisure industry, pharmaceutical industry, modular off-site projects, healthcare sector and more recently residential, education and industrial projects.
Notable projects that Doug has worked on include the Toy Box student residences, Arden Gate PRS development, Summer Field School in Oxford, Fulham Palace Wharf in London, and varying projects for Worcester Bosch at their headquarters.

Ed is an enthusiastic and versatile Chartered Architect and qualified Architectural Technician
As a Director, Ed acts as a client liaison with responsibility for managing projects and ensuring delivery against client expectations.
With a hands-on approach, Ed has designed and project managed a wide variety of schemes from contemporary housing and education projects, to large mixed-use regeneration developments and is actively involved in all design and construction matters of each of the schemes that he manages.
His verstaility is demonstrated in his capability to work on Grade I LIsted building projects whilst at the same time design off shore energy port facilities.
