Black River Good Neighbor Services offers several assistance programs, both on our own and on behalf of other or ganizations. We administer programs for the U.S. Department of Agriculture and provide assistance in accessing programs run by the State of Vermont and by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. BRGNS also operates a thrift store and furniture store, both of which help cover some of the expense of providing assistance... In 2011 we moved to the newly renovated Ludlow Community Center Complex where we provide free, confidential help to financially distressed individuals and families to facilitate their navigation of the often intricate pathways to locate assistance. We focus primarily on distributing free food and providing rent, fuel and other aid for those who meet our guidelines.
