THE BRAILLE GROUP OF BUFFALO

The Braille Group of Buffalo was established in 1956 and is a volunteer non-profit organization which transcribes print materials into Braille for the blind and visually impaired readers of all ages. We transcribe materials into Braille at no charge for Braille users in the WNY Counties and offer copies of our materials for sale outside our area... In order to improve the quality of life for people with visual impairments, the mission of The Braille Group of Buffalo is to transcribe and provide Braille materials to visually impaired readers of all ages, and to provide training to those who produce Braille... In 2002, the Braille Group became an independent non-profit corporation and became known as The Braille Group of Buffalo, expanding its services to all of western New York State.
