CAROUSEL PRINTMAKERS

Carousel Printmakers is the name given to our workshop in Braidwood, NSW on Munkata Yuin Country. From here we sell a range of items we designed and in many cases produced ourselves under the brand names Tanglewood Press and Murray & Smyth Supply Co. We also stock a select number of products from other makers. Much of what you find has been screen printed by hand using a method with a long and rich tradition. Many smaller screen printing workshops were lost due to the emergence of automated largely offshore facilities, but we're proud to be part of a resurgence in small makers... Frustrated by the rampant greenwashing we've witnessed in all retail, our main aim is to provide as much information about where we source the materials for our products, allowing the person buying to decide whether that's acceptable to them. Of course, that aim is coupled with sourcing materials that have been manufactured by workers receiving a living wage and experiencing good working conditions, as well..
