Geoff Slack - Chairman

Geoff Slack is the Chief Executive Officer of YourPlace Housing, an organisation in South Australia which provides social and affordable accommodation for people facing social disadvantage, including tenants living with disability. Geoff has more than 20 years' experience in the government, non-government and private sectors, working on housing and homelessness service delivery, policy and program design. He has held numerous leadership and executive roles throughout his career. Geoff's qualifications include social work and psychology.

James Clough - Treasurer

James is the Executive Manager of Property Services at Junction Housing and has led assets and maintenance transformation to a customer focused, evidence based, and procurement-ready system. James is the Treasurer and Board Member for CHIA SA, is part of the leadership group for the PowerHousing Development and Assets Roundtable and is a Certified Senior Housing Professional with the Australasian Housing Institute.

Julie Duncan

Julie is the SA general manager of Housing Choices Australia and general manager of Catherine House, which provides crisis, longer term accommodation and support services to women experiencing homelessness in South Australia. She has experience in housing, homelessness, urban development and community services. Over the past 20 years, Julie has worked in policy, planning, project management and community relations across all tiers of government and in the community sector. Her experience in homelessness has involved being a support worker and a manager of crisis accommodation. Julie holds qualifications in housing management and policy, and urban and regional planning.

Kate French

Job Titles:

Kate provides research, analysis, and policy skills that directly support CHIA SA's advocacy and representation functions. Kate supports the work of CHIA SA's Member Forums in providing direct links between CHIA SA and senior leaders of SA CHPs. Kate holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and is passionate about approaching potential reforms and policy development objectives with a rights-based focus. She recognises the critical importance of ensuring the lived experience of community housing tenants and service providers is central to CHIA SA policy statements and sector advocacy.

Luke Westenberg - CEO

Job Titles:

Luke has over 20 years' experience across government and peak bodies in a number of regulated human services sectors. Luke works with CHIA SA's members to lead sector-wide advocacy for the South Australian community and governments. He has experience working across housing, aged care, health and community services in Adelaide and Sydney, including as CEO of the Aged Care Industry Association. Luke's skills include policy development for the not-for-profit sector, engagement with member organisations and relationship management with federal and state government departments.

Matthew Woodward

Matthew is Chief Executive Officer of Unity Housing Company Ltd and has over 40 years' experience in human services. He has worked as a social worker, a manager and in policy development across government and non-government sectors, in Adelaide, rural South Australia and the United Kingdom.

Rachael Thrussell

Rachael manages a range of member engagement functions, including supporting CHIA SA's Communities of Practice and sector events. Rachael has over 17 years of experience in the Community Housing sector in South Australia and Victoria. She holds a Graduate Certificate in Housing Policy and Management at Swinburne University and has extensive experience in community and stakeholder facilitation, engagement, and development.

Stacey is Executive General Manager of Believe Housing Australia and brings with her 25 years' experience in the housing sector, including executive and senior leadership roles across the United Kingdom and South Australia.

Stephanie Miller

Stephanie is the Chief Executive Officer of Common Equity Housing SA and has extensive experience in leading customer and member-focussed arts, housing and health organisations in Australia and the United Kingdom. In the UK, she managed a London housing co-operative for single homeless people ineligible for local authority housing and later managed a co-op that supported more than 40 housing co-ops to continue as independent and resident controlled housing providers. Stephanie has qualifications in economics, management and social responsibility, dialogue and deliberation and public engagement. Stephanie's vision is to grow co-operative and community led housing in SA, in scale, diversity and impact.

Wesley Chapman

His key skill areas include strategy, governance, leadership, finance, and business development.
