Originally from Southampton, Deborah has been a Legal Secretary for 18 years. She joined Coles Miller almost 4 years ago after relocating to the Bournemouth area as a Secretary to Roger Leedham, Senior Partner and in March 2017 became a Legal Assistant. Deborah is currently studying for her CILEx Certificate in Law and Practice with a view to qualifying as a Chartered Legal Executive. She has now achieved her Level 3 Certificate (Conveyancing.) Deborah is married and in her spare time enjoys reading, going to the cinema, live music and seeing her friends and family. She is an avid supporter of Southampton Football Club (for her sins!)

John Rawlings - CFO

John trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Coopers & Lybrand in Bristol where he worked for 6 years. This was followed by a move into Commerce where he has held senior finance positions in a multitude of industry sectors including aviation, education, engineering, manufacturing and waste management. This included 7 years as Head of Finance and Commercial at Wessex Homes Group, designer and manufacturer of mobile park homes and leisure lodges. John joined Coles Miller in 2015 and is both Director of Finance and Head of I.T. Out of the office John is into DIY, gardening and enjoys taking his cockapoo dog on long brisk walks.

Kate Samuel

Kate qualified as a commercial property solicitor in September 2021 after completing her training contract in the Commercial Property department at Coles Miller where she has gained experience in assisting both individual and private companies with the sale and purchase of commercial properties, the granting and taking of leases, dealing with option agreements and plot sales. Prior to her with Coles Miller Kate worked as a Sales Manager for a UK-based clothing brand but made the decision to embark on a later life career change and undertook part-time study to obtain her Law degree through the Open University. Kate graduated with First Class Honours and subsequently completed her LPC and Masters of Law qualifications through the University of Law at Guildford, graduating with Distinction. In her free time, Kate enjoys watching a wide variety of films each week at the local cinema, as well as regularly baking cakes and other sweet treats at home.

Katie Owen

Katie completed her Finance and Law degree at Bournemouth University and continued on to complete her Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course. Prior to joining Coles Miller, she worked for a local law firm for three and a half years, dealing with residential conveyancing and accounts. Katie joined Coles Miller in June 2014 in the firm's Residential Conveyancing department, assisting the Partner in the Broadstone office. She then took on her own caseload dealing with sales and purchases of both freehold and leasehold properties whilst still assisting the Partner from time to time. Katie has completed seats within the firm's Probate and Commercial Property departments at our Poole office. She then returned to the Residential Conveyancing department in Broadstone for her final seat. During this seat, she assisted the department on various matters as well as building up her own caseload. Katie qualified as a Residential Conveyancing Solicitor in March 2018. Prior to joining Coles Miller, Katie got married and in her spare time she enjoys attending the theatre and concerts with her husband. She also enjoys baking, reading and spending time with her friends and family.

Lindsey Arnold

Senior Family Lawyer Lindsey Arnold joined Coles Miller Solicitors Family Law team in 2013 bringing with her extensive experience in family law matters. She is a highly experienced family practitioner who is a member of Resolution, a national community for family justice professionals who work with families and individuals to resolve issues in a non-confrontational and constructive way, to provide a better outcome for separating families and their children. Lindsey specialises in all aspects of private law children matters acting for parents, grandparents and other extended family members. She often deals with cases of high complexity and has worked on some high profile cases, attracting media attention and has a particular interest in Human Rights, and International Movement of Children whether in respect of an application for a planned removal of children from the jurisdiction or unlawful removal under the Hague Convention. In addition she is regularly instructed on routine applications for Child Arrangements Orders and has also represented children in Court proceedings allowing them to participate actively or represented them via a Court Guardian. Lindsey is client focused and known for her passion for family law and is committed to providing a high quality service and has appeared at all levels of the Family Court before the Magistrates, District Judges, Circuit Judges and also in the High Court and at the Royal Courts of Justice. She is practical, sensitive, and understanding in her approach and provides clear advice during what can often be traumatic times, either due to mental health issues or the stress of dealing with Court proceedings.

Neil Andrews

Neil is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and a Director at AECC Enterprises Limited. He is also a Trustee at Age Concern Christchurch and SafeWise in Bournemouth. Neil is a former Trustee of Poole Citizens Advice Bureau and a former Chair of Trustees at Friends of Forest Holme, a local hospice charity and a former trustee at Safewise an educational charity specialising in safety.

Pam Coniam
