CPAS - Key Persons
I was a Chemistry major as an undergrad, and learned accounting and business while working in the mid-70s in the natural foods cooperative industry in Ohio. It was a great life changing inspiration to work in a collective that formed a regional distribution center for member cooperatives in a 5-state area.
I started in private practice in 1991. That same year, I began graduate school at the Duke Fuqua School of Business, from where I received my MBA in 1993. The next hurdle I cleared was passing the CPA exam in 1997.
After receiving a B.A. in English Literature, I took a position in student services and administration at a public university. That position enabled me to develop a number of professional financial skills which led me to a fateful conversation with one Gina DeVine. After that day, I was set on my current path and went on to earn a Master's degree in Accounting in 2017. I have since worked for seven years in the accounting field along with my partner and mentor. I became a Certified Public Accountant in 2022, and now, together our firm provides expert tax advice and related services to individuals and businesses.
