Mark Duggan is an award-winning designer of communications and information content for news media, public outreach, and marketing communications... The rigor of producing on a tight deadline was thrilling. I covered a lot of science stories and learned to translate complex details into plain language... Around 2009, I was producing documentaries and thinking about ways to present them on the web. The Geek in me wanted them to be informative, but my inner Impatient User demanded they be easy to understand. I started designing website interfaces with human factors in mind, guided by my lifelong fascination with cognition and ergonomics.
