I am an artist, multidisciplinary designer, writer, and classically-trained musician who has also studied astrology since the age of 10. I come from a line of intensely devoted and highly creative spiritual women who used prayer and other healing modalities, plus divination tools such as the I Ching, to increase not only their own connection to the Divine, but to enhance the well-being of those they loved. I attended Parsons School of Design for interior design and also learned Classical Feng Shui (a way to achieve balance by addressing the astrology of your home) at the New York School of Feng Shui. In addition, I studied textile/surface design at Fashion Institute of Technology. My design studies continued with obtaining a Master of Fine Arts degree in graphic design from Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles in the specialization: Advancing the Discipline Through Theory and Innovation. That MFA was followed by pursuit of a second MFA, this time in art - focused on painting and conceptual art - at University of California, Irvine. In the background of all of my academic pursuits, I have been a devoted student of Love, which has included deep-dives into two different religious/spiritual traditions. Then, burnt out by the blows of looking outside myself for answers, I went through a dark night, and spent time in the woods. Roam Inner & Interior Design is what arose from that darkness - an embodiment of my original call to Love and finding home via nature and the Mystery. It led me to return to my childhood/ancestral spiritual home of astrology & energy work combined with the healing power of beauty. I used to nerd out researching modernism and minimalism in architecture and furniture design in the urban cities where I lived. Now, I nerd out learning about the trees and forests in beautiful Northwest Georgia where I have called home since 2020.
