Debbie worked in NHS finance for 35 years (the last 27 of them being at The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Trust) before stepping down from her role as Finance Director in 2017 to work part time. Debbie then provided financial and management support to the Cheshire & Wirral Local Delivery Service and more recently the Wirral system within the Healthy Wirral Programme Delivery Unit. Being a Wirral resident, whose family members are frequent users of the Wirral Health and Care system Debbie is keen to make a positive difference to our local population.

Debbie Wilson

Debbie has lived in Wirral all of her life and is passionate about building a sustainable & healthy future for all Wirral Residents. She has children at local schools and believes in securing investment into the local economy to support the areas future aspirations. Debbie believes if we ensure that we support everyone's health and wellbeing, great things can follow and if we all take time to listen to what is important to communities, we can build and develop effective and enterprising systems to improve people lives. Debbie's career so far has followed areas that she believes in and feels passionate about. Starting with her initial training as a Research Scientist working on good practice and integrating consumer understanding into research, then moving into Healthcare working within Mental Health, Secondary and Primary Care. Debbie has also spent part of her career engaged in Strategic Planning for a local Russell Group University supporting the Access and Participation Plan, to make the University accessible to all students.

Elaine Anderson

Elaine has over 20 years' experience working within Wirral Leisure and fitness motivating a wide range of people of all ages and abilities to achieve their health and fitness goals. Elaine has recently spent 2 years working for Macmillan within a unique pilot scheme supporting people across Wirral effected by cancer live well, manage their health and wellbeing and take back control. Elaine has designed and delivered Macmillan Rehabilitation Exercise Classes, popular circuit-based group sessions to enable patients to build their fitness levels and confidence pre/post-surgery, during/following cancer treatments. Elaine has also delivered chair-based classes at Maggie's Merseyside and local Macmillan Health Walks, all activities which promote lasting health improvements and independence.

Georgia Lilley

Georgia has a huge passion for improving health and wellbeing through providing tailored, personalised support. Georgia has worked in the health sector for 2 years now. Alongside her BSc in Sport and exercise sciences, and MSc in Sport physiology, Georgia is also a qualified level 3 personal trainer and is working towards her level 4 BACPR exercise instructor training. Prior to this role, Georgia worked with pre-diabetics on the national diabetes prevention programme. Since working as a Health coach, Georgia has had over 1500 appointments with patients to support lifestyle change, and she is motivated to continue enhancing health inequalities of many.

Georgina Hannaway

Georgina has worked in the health and wellbeing sector for the past 5 years, starting her career working with children and young people, motivating them to get active both inside and outside of school. Georgina then moved on to working with adults in group and 1-2-1 settings through the GP referral scheme in Sefton. Over the past year Georgina has been working on the prehabilitation programme, designing online and home-based exercise for patients during the pandemic.

Grace Scothern

Grace has worked in the health and fitness industry for the past 2 1/2 years, before that she worked on youth programmes encouraging young people to get involved in social action in the community for 5 years. Grace is passionate about helping people make long term, effective changes to their lifestyle that will benefit their health and allow patients to manage health conditions more effectively. She is also a qualified Level 3 Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor and Exercise Referral Specialist, Grace has also completed her Level 4 certificate in Obesity and Diabetes Management and Life Coaching. She is determined to provide tailored support for patients to improve their health and wellbeing in a long term sustainable way.

Helen Pike-Waterhouse

Helen joined the health coaching team in 2020, after spending a year working on the National Diabetes Prevention Programme. Prior to that, she worked for 5 years as a Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer in the private sector, supporting client's to achieve their personal health and fitness goals. She has a wealth of experience gained over a 30-year career working within NHS, Fitness Industry and local government. In the last two years she has completed her L3 Exercise Referral and L4 Mental Health and Physical Activity Qualifications. Helen is passionate about enabling patients to make sustainable lifestyle changes, in the Wallasey community she works in.

Karen has unique expertise in both heath care and third sector. She spent a significant period of her career working in third sector infrastructure so has a good understanding of the community services across the Wirral. She is currently an executive lead for a Primary Care Network so understands and works in Primary Care. She recognises the role the third sector play in improving health and social care, and has the experience, vision and connections to enable this to happen. Karen is passionate about equality, whether that is smaller organisations accessing funding, or an individual having access to the same services no matter where they live on the Wirral.

Lucy is passionate about enabling people to live their best life. She has run projects that promote physical activity and brings people along on her journey. An example of this, was whist running a Community Cancer project, she completed 12 Macmillan Mighty marathon hikes in one year, raising money and awareness for Macmillan. She believes that the ?non-clinical model? is essential for the future of healthcare and has set up services including wellbeing practitioners, health coaches and more recently a prehabilitation service for One Wirral. She has developed partnerships with leisure services and third sector partners such as Mencap to enable patients to access physical activity in a way that is relevant to them.

Natalie Young Calvert

Natalie has worked in Health and Social Care for over 15 years, from Commissioning, Service Transformation, Change Management and Operations. She is currently the Chief Officer of a GP Federation and is also supporting the Wirral system by leading the Healthy Wirral Programme for Planned Care. She is passionate about creating health equality and believes this should be done through both grassroots development and system wide change. She has set up systems that will develop workforce capability and resilience. She is dedicated to giving local people opportunities to thrive.

The roles Rhian has pursued have meant that she can handle sensitive and stressful circumstances.Rhian's experience provides the team with the first port of call for the hospital staff and patients, organised databases and administrative support for the whole team.

Scott has worked within public and private sector health organisations for the past 13 years. Initially working in and further developing a range of different services over the years including exercise referral, phase 3 and 4 Cardiac rehab, pulmonary rehab and establishing a weight management service from the ground up. Most recently as the health coach co-ordinator for Primary Care Wirral quickly establishing Health Coaches into an integral part of General Practice workforce, moulding to the needs of the Practice and its patients.He has a unique skillset and is at the forefront of developing and delivering training for various organisations to better improve our conversations, allowing us to improve the health of our communities, empowering people and enabling them to become active participants in improving their health.

As a BSc Nutrition and Health graduate and Registered Associate Nutritionist (AfN), Tia has a real passion for both nutrition and physical activity and is dedicated to sharing evidence-based nutrition information with the public. In Tia's previous role, she was responsible for delivering the Digital Adult Weight Management Programme through 1 to 1 sessions which facilitate health improvement with a non-judgemental, and motivational approach. Tia's current role allows her to support patients in the West Wirral to develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence to manage their health and wellbeing. As well as increase patient's physical activity levels, improve diet, and make long-term lifestyle changes. In addition, increase patients' ability to access and utilise community support whilst providing access to self-management education, peer support, and social prescribing.

Tracey Pilgrim

Tracey's role as a Cancer Care Coordinator is to provide a seamless role from Primary Care to Secondary Care and back again. Tracey supports anyone who has recently been diagnosed with cancer or patients living with cancer and need support with practical emotional financial or physical concerns. Tracey also supports the families of the cancer patients.
