Katie Philcox - Founder

received her Masters degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis from Queen's University, Belfast. She is a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA). For over 10 years, Katie has worked with children and young people with a variety of special educational needs and mental health disorders, in the UK, Middle East and China. She began her career in feeding in 2011 as part of a multidisciplinary team at Child Early Intervention Medical Center, Dubai, under the supervision of Dr Missy Olive. Katie trained in the ‘Sequential Oral Sensory' approach to assessment and treatment of feeding difficulties developed by Dr Kay Toomey and Dr Erin Ross. The SOS approach is a play-based programme, which uses a systematic approach to address both the sensory processing and the oral motor skills a child needs to eat a wide variety of food groups and textures.
