Alastair Moore

Alastair Moore is a Chartered Financial Planner within our Wealth team. Based in Northern Ireland, his role involves helping clients put robust and coherent financial plans in place, taking care of the complex investment decisions and providing them with the confidence to achieve their goals, objectives and ambitions. "I take a holistic view of financial planning with clients. Starting with building a picture of where they are now, financially and personally. From here, I develop a cash flow model which incorporates their lifestyle goals and objectives, along with their assets, liabilities, income and expenditure. This process illustrates whether the client is currently able to achieve their goals and objectives and how efficiently their finances are structured. I then work with clients to enhance the structure of their assets and implement any changes which could increase their ability to achieve their own personal goals and objectives.

Andrew Dines

Andrew Dines is a Chartered Financial Planner and Director of the Wealth team. Based in Aberdeen, his role is two-fold. Firstly, he is part of the leadership team, providing strategic direction to help the business reach its objectives. Secondly, as a financial planner, Andrew works directly with individuals, discovering what their own aims and ambitions are. Then he helps them create a plan to live their desired lifestyle, without fear of running out of money. He's a people-person who likes nothing better than working with clients and doing his bit as part of a team.

Beth Welsh

Job Titles:
  • Operations Manager
Beth Welsh is the Operations Manager. Based in Aberdeen, her role involves heading up the Client Service Support team who provide support to the Financial Planners, and Financial Planning Associates. She provides training for CSS new starts, prioritisation and delegation of tasks, oversight of the workflow within the team and assists with the Wealth ‘housekeeping'.

Cally Urquhart

Cally Urquhart is part of our Client Service Support team. Based in Aberdeen, Cally provides support to the Financial Planners and Financial Planning Associates in all aspects of a client's journey, to help ensure clients have a smooth experience with us at AAB Wealth. Cally assists the wealth team by gathering information on client's existing policies, liaising with product providers, preparing paperwork ahead of any transfers or contributions, and arranging documentation packs ahead of the client meeting with their planner."

Ciaran Drever

Ciaran Drever is part of the Client Service Support team. Based in the Aberdeen office, his role allows him to be involved in a client's journey from start to finish with the main responsibility being to ensure that the client receives high quality and consistent support and service. His role also involves attending meetings and recording relevant data on the client's information, visions and current policies they may hold. Outwith meetings, his tasks vary from setting up plans to executing withdrawals or payments whilst working alongside firm-based side projects.

Claire Marston

Claire Marston is a Financial Planning Associate in our AAB Wealth team. Her day-to-day role involves preparing reports and cashflow models that explain and illustrate the recommendations made by the Financial Planners to their clients. Additionally, she is a point of contact for clients to provide support and answer their queries.

Derek Mitchell

Derek Mitchell is Managing Partner of our Aberdeen office. He is also part of our Business Advisory team and specialises in advising family businesses. Based in our Aberdeen office, Derek is responsible for the day-to-day operations of all divisions in that office.

Douglas Martin

Doug Martin is Chief Commercial Officer and Head of our Corporate Finance team. He specialises in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) activity, having advised on over 400 client deals. Regularly working across all our offices, Doug's role as Chief Commercial Officer means he is responsible for the growth strategy and corporate development of the AAB Group.

Fintan McKenna

Fintan McKenna is part of the Client Service Support team. Based in Aberdeen, his role involves providing process focused assistance and support to the Financial Planners and Paraplanners so that they can give the clients the best service possible. This encompasses a wide range of tasks, from preparing reports before and after client meetings, to gathering information on a clients current financial situation and existing policies, to implementing the detailed financial plan that our planners have recommended.

Graeme Allan - CEO

Graeme Allan is Chief Executive of the AAB Group. In Graeme's role he is responsible for executing AAB's strategic priorities, which includes transforming the business into a tech enabled critical business services group through driving growth both organically and by acquisition. Graeme works closely with the Executive team to harness the power of people and technology across AAB to build strong foundations for future growth and development of the group. Graeme's expertise includes strategy, leadership and building high performing teams.

Ian Campbell

Ian Campbell is a Chartered Financial Planner within our Wealth team. Calm and level-headed, he works with clients to build their own unique financial plan. One that will help them discover how to build their wealth, plan for retirement and cascade their wealth onto loved ones.

Jack Swan

Jack Swan is Technical Manager in our AAB Wealth team. Based in Aberdeen, heading up the Financial Planning Associates team. He supports the Financial Planning Associates and Financial Planners to undertake detailed analysis and planning, enabling the delivery of tailored financial plans to help meet clients' needs and objectives.

Kerry Holden

Kerry Holden is a Financial Planning Associate in the Wealth team. Based in Aberdeen, her role involves working closely with the financial planners to help clients achieve their goals and objectives. It is important to tailor a plan for our clients that is personal to them, which gives them the choice and options for their retirement that perhaps they did not think was achievable.

Kirsty Manclark

Kirsty Manclark is part of our Client Service Support team. Based in Aberdeen, Kirsty provides support to the Financial Planners and Financial Planning Associates through each stage of the client journey. As part of the Client Service Support team, Kirsty attends client meetings alongside the planners and can often be one of the first lines of communication with our clients, which allows the team to build strong relationships with them.

Kirsty Young

Kirsty Young is a Financial Planning Associate in the Wealth Team. Based in Glasgow, her role involves preparing client reports and letters which summarise our recommendations and advice. This involves cash flow modelling, undertaking analysis of clients' current financial situations and ultimately, assisting the financial planners in helping clients reach their financial goals and objectives. She is also involved in the compliance side of the Wealth Team.

Lisa Tait

Lisa Tait is a Financial Planner within our Wealth team. Based in Aberdeen, she helps clients get to grips with their money and gain peace of mind that they're financially secure. But Lisa's role isn't just focused on investments or savings. More often than not, it's about giving people the confidence to spend their money on things they want to do, whilst knowing they'll still be ok in the future - and so will their family. Martyn Paterson

Neil Folan

Neil Folan is our Risk & Compliance manager. Based in Aberdeen, his role involves working with the senior manager holding Compliance Oversight & Money Laundering Reporting Officer functions to ensure that the business is meeting regulatory obligations by maintaining and monitoring policies and procedure, systems and controls.

Rachel Hamilton

Rachel Hamilton is part of the Client Service Support team. Based in Aberdeen, her role involves working closely with the team to provide excellent service to clients. This can involve sitting in on meetings client meetings, gathering information on clients' policies, cash flow modelling, implementing new business the adviser has recommended, setting up plans, payments and withdrawals and helping with any projects the team are currently working on.

Richard Johnston

Richard Johnston is a Chartered Financial Planner within our Wealth Team. Based in Edinburgh, he works with a wide range of private clients, helping them build their wealth and plan for the future. The most important aspect of Richard's work is building long-term relationships with people. Helping them navigate life's twists and turns. And, along the way, giving them all the advice they need in the realm of pensions, tax, investments and estate planning. In a nutshell, helping them get the most out of life.

Ross White

Ross White is part of the Client Service Support team. Based in Aberdeen, his role involves working closely with the team to provide excellent service to clients. This can involve sitting in on meetings with the advisers to help assess clients' aims and ambitions, gather information on any existing policies a client may have, cash flow modelling, setting up plans, payments and withdrawals, and helping with any projects the team are undertaking.

Sarah Philliben

Sarah Philliben is a Financial Planning Associate in the Wealth team. Based in Edinburgh, her role involves preparing the reports, compiling the analysis and researching behind the advice that the Planners give to clients.

Shannon Cowie

Shannon Cowie is part of the Client Service Support team. Her role involves providing assistance and support to the Advisers and Paraplanners to ensure our clients receive the best service. This includes a wide range of tasks from gathering information on clients existing policies, to implementation stage of the recommendations the advisers have provided.

Theresa Mitchell

Theresa Mitchell provides Admin Support within the Wealth Department. Based in Aberdeen, her role involves having direct contact with all of our clients throughout the year to arrange annual progress meetings to review their portfolio with their own Financial Adviser. She also manages our electronic mail system which was introduced during lockdown to facilitate signatures on our documents.

Tom La dell

Vikki Venerus - COO

Vikki Venerus is Operations Director for Wealth. She has been a part of the company since day one, when she joined as an Administrator. So has seen it blossom from nothing, into the successful business it is today. Based in Aberdeen, Vikki oversees the day-to-day operations, while taking responsibility for compliance - a crucial task in such a highly regulated sector. But undoubtedly the part that she enjoys the most, is growing and developing the team - a role which takes in recruitment, training, mentoring, coaching and wellbeing. She's dedicated to bringing on the next generation of financial planners - and it looks like nothing will stop her.
