Ali Ross

Job Titles:
  • PROJECT MANAGER
Ali works closely with customers, using his reputation, knowledge and experience, he ensures each of his projects are delivered on time. Ali's role captures the whole of Scotland's cabinet installations for our business. His Project experience dates back to 2018 where he joined our acquired business, ABI, as a Installations Manager additionally, his career started in the refrigeration industry when he left school in 1988 fitting cabinets for Hussmann all over the U.K. and Europe, then working with various companies over the 35 years. He has gained vast amounts of knowledge, creating friendships and business relationships along the way, as project manager in Scotland he now looks forward to each challenge.

Andrew Simmonds

  • FINANCIAL CONTROLLER
Andrew moved straight into his Accountancy Training from School and has followed a strong Financial / Commercial career path for over 40 years. Working mainly within the engineering sector Andrew has plied his trade and honed his financial eye for companies such as BAE Systems, Casella, Bachmann Europe and Stertil. Andrew is joining the team at a critical time of expansion and growth, when a steady Financial hand is required on the company rudder, and a cool Commercial head to guide the Senior Team.

Andy Hunt

Andy has joined the Board at Davis Commercial Services following a colourful and comprehensive career in the industry. The experience he has goes from Progressing Refrigeration Engineer to Sales Director, responsible for major end user accounts in UK and Europe. Andy had key responsibility in providing turnkey design, supply and installation of capital refrigeration equipment together with a full installation and service offer to refrigeration projects within Hypermarkets in Hungary,Poland,Czech Republic and Slovakia. Andy has worked closely with refrigerated display case manufacturers to develop a seamless factory to sales floor delivery and installation process in both UK and Europe. DCS was delighted when Andy started working in partnership during 2018 and now the role of Non Executive Director in March 2023.

Chris Lockwood-West

  • Account Manager for a Major Client
Chris had been working in the refrigeration industry for over 10 years before joining DCS, installing cabinets across the country for many different customers. He worked his way up to become a supervisor for the install team, he enjoyed running teams and organising jobs. After several years of being a supervisor he was offered the opportunity to become a Project Manager which he felt was an ideal role for his skillset. Chris is now an Account Manager for a major client of DCS, he is an asset to the leadership team and provides a second to none service for our client.

Claire Davis

Claire has been with the business since it was founded in 2011, and is committed to its success. Having previously formed and developed numerous departments within the business, her focus now, is to drive the organisation forward through her people professional skillset. Claire believes the development of people is key to any successful business, increasing employee retention, engagement and satisfaction. Her aim is to support the people whilst ensuring the business grows and thrives within our brand and ethos. Claire also enjoys working together with our executive team to develop strategies and helping to promote and develop existing solutions and services to clients.

Dave Cockings

Dave is our longest standing employee, joining at the very start of our acquired business, ABI, in 1996. He is an asset to the department with his extensive knowledge surrounding parts within commercial fridge. He ensures a smooth and time efficient running of his department and is extremely respected within the business for his dedication to the industry.

Gareth Watt

Gareth has been working within the refrigeration industry since 2003. Gareth is a key member in the Project management department, with his knowledge and skillset, Gareth adds significant value to the team.

James Warburton - COO

Job Titles:
  • OPERATIONS DIRECTOR
James has worked in Sales and Project Management since 2004, working within the Commercial Refrigeration and its Supply Chain since 2011. James has worked closely with Davis Commercial Services since 2020 and joined us in early 2023 as Operations director. James is supporting and driving business development and operations in all areas. With a wealth of knowledge within sales and project management, process improvement and scalability are supporting the delivery side of the business. James is also working closely with the Recycling Facility expansion plans, undertaking some key elements that will deliver exciting developments for Retails and the Cooling industry as a whole.

Jason Hawley

Jason has worked through the ranks within the Installations team. Firstly joining our acquired business in 2009 as a full time fitter, through to a Leading Hand and then Supervisor. Jason learnt all he needed to know to join the office team and become a Trainee Project Manager. He has the skill set and drive to continue to his success with the company.

Lee Renshaw

Lee has been part of the refrigeration industry for the past 13 years. With a career that started off in manufacturing and production he then moved into Operations. Lee has spent valuable time working under some great managers which has moulded and educated him into being a knowledgeable and robust Project Manager for DCS. His management skills have been transferable throughout his career, and they have allowed him to diversify across many roles. With Lees knowledge of product conception, design, manufacture, production and learning of installation and recycling, Lee is quickly able to support DCS to further sustainable success.

Luke Birch

Job Titles:
  • LABOUR CO - ORDINATOR
Before joining the DCS family, Luke gained knowledge of the HVAC industry throughout an apprenticeship in which he worked his way through the ranks to a Service Manager. Luke has fantastic attention to detail and co-ordination skills. He leads the Labour Management throughout DCS. The relationship he has built with our labour pool is second to none and has quickly become integral to the business success.

Mark Clipstone

Job Titles:
  • DIRECTOR
Refrigeration installation has been at the forefront of Mark's career since he was a young man. At around 20 he was employed as an installations operative on the shop floor. Since then he has worked his way up the ladder and now co-owns Davis Commercial Services. Mark has and extensive knowledge in this sector and understand the process and challenges completely. Mark heads up the installations department within DCS.

Matt Davis

  • DIRECTOR
Matt leads the business in terms of growth and expansion, with overall joint business responsibility with Mark Clipstone. Matt is a keen entrepreneur who prides himself on success and seamless business attributes. He started the business in 2011 after running a successful logistics business, specialising in hazardous waste transportation. Matt has been in the WEEE waste industry prior to the 2003 WEEE Directive and therefore, has grown DCS to reflect the current and rapidly increasing market and legislative requirements. Matt has been accredited with the recognised WAMITAB qualification and learnt a lifetime experience along the way. Winning the prestigious Fred Jamieson Award at 2022 RAC Cooling Industrial awards, Matt was recognised for his contribution, entrepreneurial spirit and passion for our industry.

Philip Clarke

Phil came to DCS within the company acquisition of ABI, he had been there since 2004 as a Senior Supervisor, progressing through the ranks from Installations Manager & Accounts Manager. Now Philip sits on the board at DCS and plays an integral part to the success of the company as Installation Director. Phil has a vast amount of experience, loyalty and trust within the business and carries out his duty to the highest of standards.

Tara Holben

Tara joined DCS early 2023 as the Accounts Receivable Controller having over 10 years of administrative experience. Tara was given a very warm welcome by the DCS family. having worked in various industries throughout her career and developed a broad skill set and knowledge base of how to successfully support a company with its business needs. Tara is dedicated to the businesses continued success and future growth and is now on a personal growth path after enrolling onto her CIMA course through the companies development programme.

Tiffany Kells

Tiffany has over 10 years' experience in Business and Accounts. Gaining Level 3 qualifications in AAT. Having worked in both industry and practice, it has given her a broad knowledge within accounts and administrative roles. Joining DCS in March 2022, Tiffany has became an asset to the company and is enjoying working with the team. Tiffany has recently had a promotion whereby, she will be working closely with the Directors and Senior management team at DCS, as a company PA.

Zak Timmins
