I've been known to navigate Wikipedia rabbit holes to find the most interesting, albeit random, information. So it's only fitting that I love to get to know everything about a person I'm working with or a project that I am working on. As a Senior Client Manager at Pearlfisher New York, a role that enables me to be an integral part of projects from beginning to end, I'm passionate about approaching our work and our relationships with enthusiasm. I believe we achieve success - in all aspects of our lives - if we enjoy what we're doing. Making time throughout the day to pause, enjoy a moment with coworkers, or talk about something new that isn't on the agenda are all really important to me.
What I bring to our work at Pearlfisher is a breadth of experience in branding that spans adaptive design, artwork and the pre-press process, and large-scale, multi-SKU rollouts. To date, one of the things I'm proudest of in my career is successfully onboarding a new, top-tier client at my first agency job ever. Along the way, I was able to demonstrate the unique value and creativity that a strategic design partner is capable of providing for brands.
When I'm not working, I am usually on a long walk, exploring New York City with an iced coffee, or watching my favorite sports teams. I'm always happy to talk about Major League Baseball and college football - especially the Atlanta Braves and Clemson Tigers.

Born and raised in New York, I ventured down south for college to the Savannah College of Art and Design. There, I immersed myself in my love of art and design, ultimately finding my calling in graphic design.
I came to Pearlfisher because of their shared belief in the power of creative collaboration and critical thinking. My goal is to create innovative, sustainable design solutions for the brands we work with - solutions that communicate with audiences in a meaningful way. I'm a storyteller at heart and find the most successful design solutions tell a compelling story.
When I'm not at work, I'm exploring Brooklyn with my pup - finding new eats, expanding my library of art and adding to my ever-growing houseplant collection (which is slowly becoming a jungle).

As the Head of Sustainability at Pearlfisher New York, I pride myself on offering innovation and problem-solving, grounded in practicality, which comes from my many years of experience and expertise in technical realization.
Sustainability is fundamental to how Pearlfisher operates and creates, and is the foundation of the work of all of our teams. I challenge our designers to think about the end game at the start. I challenge our clients not to problem-solve based on ease, but on brand experience and environmental impact.
I firmly believe that the future of sustainable design does not just come down to materials - and managing waste - but implementing realistic and incremental change through a multi-disciplinary approach. By understanding changing culture, continuing to innovate with cutting-edge materials and processes, and joining this with the power of design, we can help change people's behavior and encourage more sustainable actions and choices. This is where tangible, positive and long-term change will come from.
Outside of the Studio, my passion is music. I play the guitar and I write, perform and produce my own music across a range of outlets.

For that reason, I'm passionate about sharing Pearlfisher's stories and exceptional creative work with our key audiences across our channels including media communications, events and social media.

David Jenkinson joins Pentawards Festival China: Design Fast Forward.
I am naturally curious and love to constantly learn and push myself, as well as bringing this learning and challenge to the team around me. This is particularly true when it comes to the game-changing creative and commercial opportunities afforded to brands through emergent technology.
I actually started my first digital agency after graduating high school but now I have over 15 years of experience in the creative industry, working across all disciplines.

As Strategic Development Director at Pearlfisher New York, I am responsible for establishing and executing our studio's growth strategy through high level, integrated, strategic leadership across our studio's client and business development efforts and working with all teams to ensure the overall business performance.
My experience at brand consultancies and design agencies stem from my desire for a career that combines the best functions of the left brain and right brain. My prior experience runs the gamut from Healthcare giants (Pfizer, Eli Lilly, BMS, Novartis, Bayer, J&J) biotechs, device companies, generic drug manufacturers and advocacy organizations to B2B (IBM, Bloomberg, Fidelity, Xerox), B2C (Kiehl's) and non-profits (Consumer Reports, Cooper Hewitt). I'm so grateful to currently be in a position at PFNY where my passion for creativity and discovery is of equal importance to analytics and business metrics.
I'm currently passionate about all the things humans consume whether it's food and beverage, spirits, cannabis or content. Outside the studio you can usually find me commuting over the Brooklyn Bridge with kids and their backpacks in tow or searching for the city's next great bowl of noodles.
While I was born in New York City, I was raised in Ecuador and Minnesota. This dichotomy gives me a unique view of the world and my diverse upbringing continues to translate into the work I do for our clients today.
I love to travel because it gives me the opportunity to interact with new people and create unique relationships across the globe (having friends and family all over the world helps!). These special connections feed my creative spirit.
When I'm away from my desk, I spend my free time as a founding (and active) member of the Gay Geeks of New York. I'm an avid collector, video game player and comic book reader. But my real superpower? I can find a gif to match any occasion, big or small.
I've always had a love of design and understanding the creative journey behind it. After studying International management at university I wanted to find a career with a creative spin so I started my journey as an intern at Pearlfisher.
As a Client Manager at Pearlfisher, I enjoy working across a diverse range of brands from different industries including food and beverage and beauty to name a few, and also with clients from across the globe - it truly makes work very exciting. For the past 3 years, I've worked with innovative challenger and iconic brands, putting my optimism and attention to detail to good use in order to develop unique brand opportunities. It's really rewarding working with our clients and getting to see the amazing creative work that the teams come up with every day. Seeing my projects transform from conceptual ideas into reality is one of the best parts of my job.
When I'm not at work you can find me, in an ideal world, at the beach! But since that's a bit of a stretch in London... I'm usually enjoying the amazing food culture here or in the kitchen cooking something delicious with friends.

I'm a tinkerer. From 2D and 3D animation to compositing and motion capture; copywriting to storytelling, I've learned to always be adaptive in an industry and a specialty that is ever-evolving. I gather inspiration from the projects that elicit emotion - thoughtful shots, the perfect soundtrack and one-of-a-kind stories.
After graduating from the School of Visual Arts at Virginia Tech with a BFA in Studio Art, I followed a job to New York City where I fell in love with the brand world. So far, I've been fortunate to tell stories with brands like: Budweiser, Dunkin', Stella Artois, UNICEF, Universal Music Group and Oreo. I'm proud to have been a part of award winning teams to earn trophies from Cannes Lion, Clio, D&AD and The One Show.
Along the way, I remind myself to experiment and have fun with what we make together. This mantra has led me to keep up with my illustration and discover that I can be mistaken for Jon Hamm in voice-over work. I'll take it.
