Llanelli District Model Engineers (LDME) members are all volunteers who give their time and skills freely to the running of the club and its' activities. The organisation exists to promote Model Engineering as a hobby for the advancement of/and to educate the public about... Today we are very fortunate in being based in such a beautiful park, approximately twenty to thirty minutes' drive from Llanelli or Carmarthen where mainly during school holidays in the Spring and Summer we run the railway on, Saturdays and Sundays (subject to weather and staff availability) and provide the young and old with a railway experience with a train ride using steam locomotives as often as is possible... Our clubhouse which is the central point of our activities is situated by the main railway station and within both circuits of track. The club had leased the site from the local authority where we have built approx. 1220m of ground..
