The Medicinal Forest Garden Trust aims to promote education and research towards sustainable cultivation and harvesting of medicinal trees and shrubs. Through courses and projects we seek to support the establishment of sustainable cultivation and harvesting of medicinal trees and shrubs. We can offer advice and support for sustainable design of medicinal aspects of forest gardens. We have experience of growing both introduced and native trees in the UK. For example, Virginian witch hazel (Hamamelis virginiana) grows well in the UK... In addition to an occasional newsletter we aim to produce blog posts about topics of relevance to growing with a medicinal forest garden. We hope to include recipes, research and other information to help anyone interested in medicinal forest gardening... Many more medicinal trees and shrubs could be introduced in woodland areas in the UK if relevant information is made available and young plants are easily sourced.
