Dr Abhijit Kulkarni

Dr Abhijit Kulkarni is a Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) with a Diploma in Obstetrics & Gynaecology and a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists UK (MRCOG). He completed his undergraduate & postgraduate training in India in 2003. Since then he has worked in India and South Pacific countries in Obstetrics & Gynaecology for 7 years. He received a sponsorship from the RCOG in 2010 and was invited to work in the UK. Since then he has worked for 5 years in Obstetrics & Gynaecology in various NHS hospitals. He is highly experienced in all aspects of reproductive medicine & endocrinology including management of polycystic ovaries, egg freezing, same sex couples, recurrent implantation failure after IVF treatment, recurrent miscarriage and those with premature ovarian insufficiency. Dr Kulkarni is extremely passionate about working at CREATE Fertility and providing tailored treatments to meet the unique and specific needs of patients offering high quality care and a satisfying patient experience.

Dr Adrija Kumar Datta

Adrija Kumar Datta MD, FRCOG, is the Lead Consultant in CREATE, Birmingham, UK and Honorary Senior Lecturer at Bolton University. Dr Datta passed MBBS from the University of Calcutta in 1988 and obtained Masters (MD) from the same university in 1996. He became a Member of the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (MRCOG) in the year 2005 and Fellow (FRCOG) in 2019. He was an Ex-Assistant Professor in a Manipal College of Medical Science in Nepal 200-2002. He is a trainer for British Fertility Society and Ultrasound scan. Dr Datta joined the Board of the International Society for Mild Approaches in Assisted Reproduction (ISMAAR) as Research Coordinator. He is one of the Editors of a book which will be published soon under the banner of ISMAAR. He is a regular reviewer of many journals including Human Reproduction, Reproductive BioMedicine Online, British Medical Journal and Human Fertility. He is in the Editorial Board of Fertility Sterility Reviews. Dr Datta has published papers in peer-review journals including a few Hi-indexed journals as the first author. He wrote 4 chapters in books. He presented (both oral and poster) in international conferences including ESHRE, ASRM, BFS (Fertility), RCOG congress. His area of special interest is ovarian stimulation, although he had original research in other fields of Reproductive Medicine.

Dr Anita Gour

Dr Anita Gour is an experienced fertility consultant who has been practising IVF for the last 18 years. She qualified as a doctor in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in India. Following this she came to the UK for further training and worked in the field of Assisted Reproduction at Addenbrooke's University Hospital, Cambridge and Homerton University Hospital, London. Dr Gour is a member of Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and British Fertility Society. In 2007 Dr Gour returned to India and spent 7 years establishing and directing a successful IVF unit in Jaipur, before coming back to the UK to join the team at CREATE Fertility. She is a strong believer in individualised, tailored and high-quality treatment to achieve the best outcome. Her areas of interest are management of women with low ovarian reserve, recurrent failures and polycystic ovarian disease. Anita is proud to be part of the CREATE team and is looking forward to putting her skills to good use and helping women and couples to have a satisfying fertility journey.

Dr Archana Ranganathan

Dr Archana Ranganathan is a Consultant Gynaecologist in reproductive medicine. She graduated from Madras Medical College, India and completed her postgraduate diploma in Christian Medical College, Vellore, India. She went on to complete her postgraduate training from Health Education England, Thames Valley (Oxford deanery) where she completed a research fellowship on endometriosis. Dr Ranganathan became a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists in 2012. She has advanced training in subfertility and reproductive health, with special interest in endometriosis and early pregnancy. She is the lead consultant for the CREATE Fertility St Pauls clinic and is highly skilled in advanced fertility ultrasound, gynaecological 3D ultrasound and early pregnancy scanning. A member of British Fertility Society (BFS) and British Society for Gynae-endoscopy (BSGE), her special interests include endometriosis, recurrent miscarriage and polycystic ovaries. Dr Ranganathan offers personalised care to all her patients and believes in holistic approach to support patients through their fertility journey.

Dr Christos Filis

Lamiya Mohiyiddeen is a consultant gynaecologist and subspecialist in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery. She has been a consultant in Reproductive Medicine and Gynaecology at St.Mary's hospital since 2013. She is also an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Manchester. Lamiya graduated from Manipal Academy of Higher Education in India in 2000. She has since completed her specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology from the Northwestern Deanery, followed by subspecialist training in Reproductive Medicine at St.Mary's hospital, Manchester. She completed her MD from the University of Manchester in 2013, researching in pharmacogenetics of patients undergoing IVF treatment. She is a member of Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and other societies including British Fertility Society (BFS) and European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE). Lamiya has clinical interests in the management of subfertility, assisted reproduction, outpatient hysteroscopy, hysteroscopic management of uterine anomalies and recurrent miscarriage. She is the lead for the recurrent miscarriage service at St.Mary's hospital. Lamiya is the founder and convener of North of England Reproductive Medicine Group (NOERG) meetings. She has published widely both in journals and books. She has also recently jointly secured NIHR grant for endometrial scratch study. Her current research focuses on recurrent implantation failure, recurrent miscarriage and pharmacogenetics of IVF patients.

Martin Wilding has a degree in Biochemistry from Imperial College London and a Ph.D. in the physiology of fertilisation from University College London. He has practised IVF and ICSI from 1999 and has worked in many top ranking IVF centres throughout Europe including Italy and Switzerland. Martin is HPC registered and is a fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists. He has over 50 research papers in the field of human reproduction and his research interests including studying the relationship between maternal age and reproduction.

Dr Nirmal Felix

Dr Nirmal Felix completed her Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in India with distinctions. She underwent postgraduate training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology training both in India and in the East Midlands deanery including Nottingham, Leicester and Chesterfield hospitals. She attained the membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG) in 2011. Subsequently, she gained more experience in assisted reproduction while working in a fertility unit in the Midlands where she was the Clinical IVF specialist and Recurrent Miscarriage Lead. She has completed British Fertility Society (BFS) modules on ultrasound and embryo transfer. Her special interests are reproductive immunology and endocrinology. She is a trainer for the West Midlands transvaginal scanning course. She is an active member of the British Fertility Society, European Society for Human Reproduction and Embryology and Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. Dr Nirmal has always been praised about the extra mile she takes in the care of her patients. Dr Shamim Byrne has more than 25 years experience in women's health having served at senior level for over 10 years in the NHS. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (RCOG) and an associate member of the Faculty of Sexual & Reproductive Health. She enrolled in the continuing professional development programme (CPD) with the RCOG and on the specialist register of the General Medical Council and has also taken part in teaching, research, published in internationally recognised journals and have served for 10 years as an expert member of the Nottingham II research ethics committee. Dr Byrne has been practising independently in the private sector since 2016 and has now entered into the rewarding field of assisted reproduction as a fertility consultant since October 2019. Dr Byrne joined CREATE Fertility in January 2021 and is passionate about helping patients on their fertility journey.

Dr Spiros Liatsikos

Dr Liatsikos graduated from the Medical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece where he also completed a PhD on the genetics of congenital uterine malformations. His specialist training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology was in the University Hospital of Alexandroupolis. Prompted by his interest in human reproduction, he then moved to the UK and completed a fellowship at the Centre for Reproductive Medicine and Fertility of Sheffield Teaching Hospitals. There he developed special research and clinical interests in Recurrent Miscarriage, Assisted Conception and Reproductive Surgery. A clinical fellowship in Reproductive Medicine at St George's University Hospital of London gave him the opportunity to expand his knowledge in the diagnosis and management of subfertility and acquire skills in fertility ultrasound. For the last eight years he has been working as a Consultant in Reproductive Medicine in London and Bristol, specialising in Mild and Natural IVF. Spiros has acquired extensive experience in the treatment of women with low ovarian reserve. He implements advanced ultrasound technology (including Doppler and 3D imaging) in the diagnosis and treatment of subfertility. He has an excellent embryo transfer technique resulting in high success rates. Dr Liatsikos is a member of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology, the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and the British Fertility Society. He has completed the BFS training modules in Infertility, Assisted Conception, Pelvic Ultrasound and Embryo Transfer. Has published innovative research on gynaecology and reproduction in international journals and has authored chapters in scientific textbooks. He has attended numerous international meetings, in some of them as invited speaker. Dr Tamer Nafee

Dr Nafee graduated from the Faculty of Medicine Alexandria University of Egypt in 1994. He completed his basic training in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and specialized training in Reproductive Medicine, while simultaneously researching ovulation and polycystic ovaries. He was awarded a Doctorate degree MD in 2010 for his work and attained the position of a clinical lecturer. Dr Nafee then moved to the UK, achieved membership of the Royal college of Obstetricians and Gynecologists MRCOG in 2008, and focused on the study of genomics and epigenetics. Dr Nafee was awarded his second Doctorate degree PhD from the University of Sheffield in 2016 for his work on microRNAs in embryo - endometrial communication at the time of embryo implantation.
