Amy Hagel

Hagel grew up in Carroll, Iowa. She attended the University of Iowa and majored in Child Life with a minor in psychology. She volunteered at University of Iowa hospitals and clinics before coming to HSHS St. Vincent Hospital for her internship. She joined St. Vincent Hospital's Child Life program in Sept. 2013 and is a member of the Association of Child Life Professionals.

Ashley Thompson

Job Titles:
  • Child Life Supervisor
Thompson, a Waupun native, majored in human development at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay with a minor in psychology. She volunteered at HSHS St. Vincent Hospital in the Child Life program before going to Marshfield Clinic and St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield for her internship. She joined Prevea in April 2007 and is member of the Association of Child Life Professionals.

Beverly Neisler

Job Titles:

Bev received her master's degree in interpersonal and non-verbal communications from the University of Illinois. She holds the designation of certified fund raising executive which is recognized as the global standard for the fundraising profession. Brandy Grove

Job Titles:
  • Major Gifts Officer
Brandy joined the team in January 2014. She is responsible for building relationships with donors who have an affinity to HSHS St. John's Hospital. Brandy's area of focus for philanthropy is determined by the ministry's ever-changing needs to best serve our patients and their families. Brandy earned an MBA from Benedictine University in September 2018 and has a B.A. in communications from the University of Illinois at Springfield. Previously, she was the marketing & promotions director for the Capitol Radio Group and executive director of the generation Healthy Coalition. Brandy is a certified fund raising executive, member of Illinois Women in Leadership and a troop leader for the Girl Scouts of Central Illinois. brandy.grove@hshs.org

Colleen Ducke

Job Titles:
  • Child Life Manager
Ducke grew up in La Crosse and was a Boston nanny before returning to Madison to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Child Life at Edgewood College. From there, she headed back to Boston to serve as an intern at the Boston Floating Hospital for Children. She earned a Master's Degree in Human Development at Wheelock College in Boston. Ducke taught Child Life at her alma mater for four years and joined Prevea in 2002. She is a member of the Association of Child Life Professionals.

Hannah Hahn

Hannah joined the team in December of 2018. She is responsible for processing and acknowledging gifts, maintaining accurate donor records and assisting with the foundation leadership council. Hannah graduated from the University of Illinois Springfield with a degree in business management and a minor in marketing. Katie Sunby

Katie joined the Foundation in April of 2014. A graduate of Western Illinois University, Katie is responsible for maintaining relationships with the Children's Miracle Network local partners and facilitating national programs and events. She is also in charge of our miracle family relations, radiothon and miracle jeans day. Katie was named colleague of the month for HSHS St. John's Hospital in March 2019. katie.sunby@hshs.org

Katlyn Puclik-Baker

Katlyn joined the Foundation team in 2019. As donor relations strategist, Katlyn is focused on engagement and relationship development supporting HSHS St. John's Hospital. Prior to joining the foundation team, Katlyn held the roles of marketing manager at the Illinois Pork Producers Association and development and marketing manager at Girls on the Run of Central Illinois. Lauren Vanden Heuvel

Vanden Heuvel grew up in Kaukauna, Wisconsin. She attended Edgewood College in Madison and majored in Child Life with a minor in psychology. She volunteered at American Family Children's Hospital and completed her practicum and internship at St. Vincent Hospital. She joined St. Vincent Children's Hospital's Child Life program in Nov. 2016 and is a member of the Association of Child Life Professionals.

Matt Hayen

Job Titles:
  • Data Analyst II / Prospect Research Coordinator
Matt joined the team in October 2018. As a data analyst II, he prepares reports and statistics and ensures accuracy of data information. As the prospect researcher, Matt works closely with our gift officers to develop prospective donor pools for cultivation and solicitation purposes.
