Anita Okorie

Brock Herrington

Brock was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2012 and has spent most of his professional career practicing family law. He represents clients in all family law matters, including dissolution of marriages and domestic partnerships, parentage issues, child custody and visitation, child support, spousal and partner support, division of community property, separate property issues, premarital and post-marital agreements, and domestic violence. He has substantial experience with dissolutions involving high-conflict custody disputes and multimillion-dollar marital estates with complex property issues. Before joining SFLG, Brock worked at well-known family law firms in Los Angeles County and at the Office of the Attorney General for the State of Washington. He also volunteered at Bet Tzedek in Los Angeles, where he participated in the Transgender Name and Gender Marker Clinic. He graduated from Loyola Law School in 2012, where he received a First Honors Award in the Sexual Orientation and the Law Seminar. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Mississippi in 2008, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi. Brock currently resides in Seattle but is a native of Mississippi and has lived in Atlanta and Los Angeles. Christina L. Angell

Ms. Angell has experience working on local, multi-state and international dissolution and custody matters. Christina was admitted to the State Bar of California more than 22 years ago and is also a Certified Family Law Specialist by the State of California Board of Legal Specialization. Ms. Angell has established a professional reputation for "thinking outside of the box" and a dedication to her clients.Ms. Angell has represented adults and children in multiple jurisdictions in the Bay Area, including San Francisco, Marin, San Mateo, Alameda, Contra Costa and Santa Clara counties. Eric has been practicing family law for over twenty years and has a broad range of litigation experience. He graduated from University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 1989. While there, he was an editor of the COMMENT Law Journal and helped tenants in San Francisco with landlord-tenant issues at the San Francisco Housing Clinic. Before attending law school, Eric graduated from Pitzer College of the Claremont Colleges and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Economics. Prior to joining the Schoenberg Family Law Group, P.C., Eric worked for a plaintiff's civil law firm in Oakland where he managed and litigated a wide range of civil cases ranging in subject from personal injury to complex contracts and class actions. It was during this time that Eric was able to use his broad range of litigation experience to head the firm's family law department where he was able to practice his true passion in law, representing men and women in family law disputes. In 2001, Eric partnered with another law firm in San Francisco where he was able to specialize in family law. Eric's family law experience is extensive, ranging from simple support matters to the most complex custody and property division cases. Ms. Funke earned her Bachelor of Arts in History with High Honors at the University of California, Santa Barbara. While in law school, Ms. Funke participated in the Domestic Violence Project and Family Justice Litigation clinics, providing pro bono services to victims of domestic violence. She was awarded the National Association of Women Outstanding Law Graduate Award as well as the President's Volunteer Service Award. After law school, Ms. Funke served as a Law Fellow for a nonprofit domestic violence organization in Washington, D.C. and then as a Law Clerk for two Child Abuse and Neglect judges at the D.C. Superior Court. While clerking, she gained valuable insight into the fact-finder's position and continued to work in highly confidential, emotional, and complex matters. Since moving back to the west coast, Ms. Funke has worked exclusively in family law as an associate attorney in small to mid-sized law firms in the Bay Area. Prior to entering the legal field, Ms. Funke worked in the contracts and financing departments of a government contractor and leasing company. Ms. Lawlor brings her nearly 15 years' experience as a litigation attorney to the Schoenberg Family Law Group, P.C.. She graduated from the Golden Gate School of Law in 1998, where she focused on litigation "with honors." Ms. Lawlor thereafter clerked with the San Francisco Federal Public Defenders' Office for a year, prior to practicing civil litigation in a small firm for five years, where she specialized in small business litigation, landlord-tenant law, and probate litigation. She always had a strong desire to practice family law and, during her tenure at the civil litigation firm, Ms. Lawlor began taking on family law cases. Her passion for family law ignited, Ms. Lawlor and a partner founded a law firm in Oakland, California in 2007, at which she limited her practice to family law matters. In addition to being well-versed in the drafting of family law pleadings, motions, and agreements, Ms. Lawlor has experience with appellate argument, mediation, short and long cause family law hearings, and trials. In one most recent case, Ms. Lawlor succeeded in winning an award of Attorney's fees for her client in the amount of $425,000. Ms. Lawlor grew up in New York teaching sailing on the Great South Bay. He returned to Chicago for law school and graduated from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2007. He relocated to the beautiful Bay Area and has dedicated his career to Family Law.
