Allen B. Holzman - CFO

As Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Holzman brings over 25 years of financial management experience and expertise to Independent Software, with over 15 of those years focusing in Federal Government Intelligence Community environments. Mr. Holzman directs all financial aspects of the business including accounting practices, budgeting/financial planning and analysis, project performance monitoring, and interfaces with both financial and banking communities. Prior to joining Independent Software, Mr. Holzman held several challenging positions including Senior Vice Presdident of Finance for a large Federal Government contractor, Assistant Chief Internal Auditor for the State of Maryland Department of Juvenile Justice, and the regional Controller of a large savings and loan bank. Mr. Holzman has experience in high-tech, banking, and service industries, with both publicly and privately held entities. His accomplishments include in-depth involvement in the mergers and acquisitions of small government contracting entities in the Baltimore Washington area. Mr. Holzman holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Loyola University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the University of Maryland. Allen is also an actively licensed Certified Public Accountant and Notary Public.

Eric B. Jansen - EVP

As Executive Vice President, Mr. Jansen brings over 25 years of Software Engineering and Program Management experience with over 17 of those years working as a contractor to the Federal Government Intelligence Community. He has served in roles as a software engineer, system engineer, system administrator, system architect, lead systems engineer, and program manager. Additionally, Mr. Jansen is one of the leaders of both the sales and service teams at Independent Software. Mr. Jansen co-founded Independent Software and has assisted in growing the company to the size it is today. He directs customer programs, both prime and subcontracts, handling all aspects from capture to close out. Mr. Jansen has built a reputation as a strong communicator with regards to both customers and employees. He leads business development captures and proposal efforts for Independent Software and he has a winning track record within both the Intelligence Community and commercial sectors. Eric's virtual proposal management process consistently delivers winning proposals on time, within budget, and without the stress of extreme hours. Mr. Jansen enjoys serving his community through his church and his faith and he is an active supporter of Wounded Warrior Project©, American Heart Association, United Service Organizations (USO), and several local law enforcement agencies. Eric enjoys spending time with his wife, daughters, and grandchildren and he has a passion for boating, skiing, friendly card games, and the outdoors. Mr. Jansen holds Bachelor of Science Degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics from Towson State University and is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE).

James Shenton

Mr. Shenton is a member of Germania Lodge 160 AF & AM in Hunt Valley, Maryland. He is a still photographer with over 35 years of experience and an avid fisherman. Mr. Shenton is married with two grown children and one grandchild. He resides in the Gambrills, Maryland with his wife Barb.

Mrs. Rhonda Jansen - CEO, President

Mrs. Rhonda Jansen is the CEO and an Executive Vice President of Independent Software, Inc. She brings a unique leadership, perspective, and insight to Independent Software from her experience as a contractor to the Federal Government as well as her associations with business management and security firms. Rhonda has over 28 years of security policy, risk assessment, HIPAA analysis, employment law, and related management experience. She applies these strengths across Independent Software and all its employees. Mrs. Jansen has always been committed to the effective use of Independent Software's resources and Information Technology to benefit all branches of the military and defense contracting agencies. Rhonda worked more than 17 years contracting with the Federal Government Intelligence Community as an executive manager, technical security lead, personnel security manager, and human resource manager. Wanting to have more control over the quality of service provided to the Intelligence Community, Rhonda co-founded Independent Software with a vision to create a company that delivered exceptional service and results while building client relationships founded on mutual respect and trust. Rhonda and Roy have built the foundation of Independent Software on two beliefs: At Independent Software, people are the most valuable asset Independent Software's Mission is to improve the lives of the American public and those who serve to keep us free Rhonda is an active contributor and supporter of several charitable organizations including Wounded Warrior Project©, Alzheimer's Foundation of America, and The Susan G. Mrs. Jansen enjoys spending time with her husband, daughters, and grandchildren. Rhonda has a passion for elite fitness and extreme sports, is an avid member of multiple CrossFit organizations, and regularly participates in Warrior Dash and Tough Mudder events.
