We have been operating from the heart of the City of London since 1983, firstly as the London branch of Union Bank of Nigeria (UBN), and since October 2004 as an independently incorporated UK bank, Union Bank UK plc (UBUK), and subsidiary of UBN. In May 2022, following the sale of the UBN, the shareholding in FBUK was purchased by a group of investors (the previous shareholders of UBN) and we continued to operate as an independent, regulated, UK bank.
