Blake Gabriel advises individuals and entities with a focus on corporations, business law, securities, and real estate. He joined Frascona, Joiner, Goodman & Greenstein, P.C. as a law clerk at the beginning of 2020 and subsequently joined the firm as an attorney in 2021.
Before joining the firm as a law clerk Blake worked as a legal intern focusing on securities regulation and compliance. This background provided him with great experience in the field of securities law and valuable insights into corporate governance. In his practice Blake has experience drafting and negotiating contracts, working with different types of business entities, and navigating commercial as well as residential real estate transactions. During his time as a law clerk at the firm, he had the opportunity to work with several of the firm's senior attorneys and gained experience in a number of the firm's areas of practice. These relationships have helped him expand his practice and created valuable resources to help assist his clients.
Blake grew up on a fourth-generation family operated farm in Oklahoma where he worked in the summers with his father and brothers. In his free time Blake is a fervent sports fan and enjoys football, basketball, and golf. He is also an avid skier and enjoys all the outdoor activities that Colorado has to offer.

Jay Cope wore a white cowboy hat most of the time. Sometimes it was black. Jay joked that he was representing a plaintiff on the days he wore black.
He signed his court pleadings as, "Joseph Adams Cope," Attorney Registration No. 7633, but everyone knew him as Jay. He was a plain-spoken man with a sense of humor and a keen mind.
Since he began the practice of law in 1976, Jay made his mark in cases from the Western Slope to the Eastern Plains of Colorado. His cases involved real estate, water law, and aviation law. Rock star clients in Pitkin County, as well as city dwellers and rural folk, all valued Jay as a lawyer and trusted friend. He had a wealth of legal knowledge and a remarkable ability to decipher and assimilate arcane facts in complex cases. And, Jay had an easy and confident manner that people liked.
No matter how close Jay was to his next trial or a due date for a brief, Jay made himself available to his clients and colleagues. He took the time to help analyze a problem, to answer a tough question, to lend his knowledge and experience to others.
Jay's law practice involving aviation matters was linked to his background, having served as a pilot in the U.S. Navy. During the Vietnam War, he flew as commander of C-130 aircraft in the Western Pacific and Vietnam. Jay had obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado before enlisting. After his military service, he returned to C.U. to earn his law degree.
Jay was born in the East, but later attended high school in South Dakota. After law school at C.U., Jay remained in the Boulder area. He began his law career with Vranesh and Musick, followed by partnership in Musick and Cope. Since 1991, Jay practiced law with Frascona, Joiner, Goodman and Greenstein, P.C., in Boulder. When not practicing law, Jay was busy tending to his horse ranch, where he lived with his wife, Susan, in Boulder County.
This past year, Jay was diagnosed with cancer. Despite the great difficulties presented by the disease and other complications, Jay remained devoted to his clients and his work. On September 8, 2011, Jay's trials came to an end. He was 66. He is sorely missed.
I am told that, as his fate became apparent, Jay was asked what music he thought would be fitting for a memorial. He said, Anchors Aweigh, and a song by Willie Nelson, My Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys. Those seem about right. If only there was a suitable song about lawyers, too.
To all who knew Jay, he will always stand tall. In my mind, in my memory, Jay Cope will always wear a white hat.
Jeff Glotzer was born in Brooklyn, New York, but spent most of his formative years in the Catskill Mountains, where he began his law career as an Assistant District Attorney. Jeff then headed west to Colorado where he practiced in a personal injury law firm, before moving to Florida and most recently back to Colorado, where his practice focus encompasses a wide range of civil litigation matters.

Jesse Howard Witt brings substantial experience to the firm's construction and real estate litigation practice group. Over his career, he has represented numerous homeowners, contractors, businesses, and associations in matters ranging from simple construction disputes to multimillion-dollar differing site condition claims. Mr. Witt has argued before the Colorado Court of Appeals and the Colorado Supreme Court, and he has served as lead counsel on several landmark construction defect lawsuits and arbitrations in Colorado. He has also testified in the Colorado General Assembly on many occasions for and against proposed legislation affecting homeowners and contractors.
Mr. Witt is a frequent author on construction and insurance law, and his works have appeared in the Colorado Lawyer, the Denver University Law Review, Trial Talk, and other publications. In 2014, the Community Associations Institute recognized Mr. Witt with its prestigious award for National Author of the Year.
Mr. Witt practices in the areas of construction defects, construction claims, real estate, intellectual property litigation, association law, and insurance bad faith. He also serves as a mediator for civil disputes and arbitrator for construction warranty matters.
Before joining Frascona, Joiner, Goodman and Greenstein, Mr. Witt was a partner in another law firm and the principal of his own practice.

Jon Goodman has been a real estate attorney in Colorado since 1985, he is currently Of Counsel at Frascona, Joiner, Goodman and Greenstein P.C., and was a shareholder from 1994 through 2021. Jon Sargent is a corporate and business attorney; he is a well trusted outside counselor to a diverse array of clients. Jon utilizes his experience learned as a mountain guide to assist his legal clients in navigating their legal issues.
Jon believes that the role of an effective attorney is to educate his clients while finding practical real-world solutions for their legal matters. Jon earned his law degree from the University of Colorado and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Puget Sound.
