Charlie joined Gauntlet in April 2018 having previously worked at Towergate and Arthur Gallagher's. He specialises in high value household insurance accounts and is managing a portfolio of complex household risks largely paying premiums between £3,000 and £20,000 per annum. He is also building experience in wider insurance products including fine art, farms and estates and motor insurances which are skills he will continue to build experience in over time.
Outside of work Charlie is a keen rugby player being No.8 for Beccehamian RFC. Generally a keen all-round sportsman being an avid supporter of Arsenal…

Harry is the Chairman of Gauntlet having founded the company in 1982. With over 40 years experience in the London insurance market, Harry is recognised as one of the country's leading insurance brokers looking after Art Collections, Historic Houses and Estates. Harry specialises in designing and managing bespoke insurance policies for owners throughout the UK and Europe.
Before establishing Gauntlet he worked for Lloyd's Brokers Antony Gibbs (part of the HSBC Group).
Educated at Ampleforth College and Oxford University, Harry is also a Trustee for a number of Landed Families in the UK.
James joined Gauntlet in 2004 and has over 18 years experience in the insurance market, specialising in Private Client and Commercial risks. James is currently the Senior Client Manager of Gauntlet for Historic Houses, Fine Art Collections and Estates, as well as looking after a portfolio of clients. James is also a member of our Lloyd's & London Market broking team.
Outside of work James is a Rugby enthusiast and also enjoys Cricket and Golf.
After 14 years specialising in Private Client insurance where he worked for a highly respected National Insurance broker and set up the Private Client business for a global broker, Simon joined Gauntlet as a Director in 2016. Simon is primarily responsible for developing business across the company and has particular expertise in advising both UK domiciled and Non-Domiciled families on their insurance requirements together with designing and placing cover for bespoke complex insurance portfolios.
Before joining Gauntlet Simon worked at Lycetts and Howden. Educated at Sedbergh School and Newcastle University Simon enjoys an array of sports outside work usually on water or snow whilst keeping his family entertained.
After 10 years working in the Lloyd's insurance market, both as broker and underwriter, Steve joined Gauntlet in 1995. Having worked in all areas of the company, Steve was made a director of Gauntlet in 2007 and became Managing Director in 2019. He is responsible for all insurer relationships, as well as looking after his own portfolio of clients. As Head of Broking, Steve works closely with Harry Fitzalan Howard in designing and arranging insurance solutions for clients.
Outside of work Steve enjoys watching premiership and international rugby, as well as spending time with his family.
