In the field of research and development, IMO works with the Fraunhofer Institute for Wind Energy Systems (IWES) and the Institute for Machine Construction and Tribology (IMKT) of the Leibniz University of Hanover. In the HAPT research project (Highly Accelerated Pitch Bearing Test), the joint project team is working on the formulation of principles for the further development of blade bearings for the wind energy sector. IMO is also a member of the Forschungsvereinigung Antriebstechnik drive technology research association and Bundesverband WindEnergie e.V...
