THE CALIFORNIA WINE CLUB - Key Persons
Alex has been making sure the wines are properly stored, packed and shipped to ensure our customers are delighted with every delivery for more than 25 years. His proudest moment was becoming warehouse manager in 1997. He enjoys fruity reds, especially Zinfandel. During his off hours you will find him spending time with his lovely family and adorable Chihuahua.
Prior to taking the helm, Gerri-Lynn served as the COO of The California Wine Club for more than 10 years. She is still the chief organizer and cheerleader for the team. When she is not working with small family wineries to bring in their delicious wines, you can find her walking her dogs through the hills of Ojai. She makes a mean loaf of sourdough bread but can't seem to convince her husband and two teens that a herd of goats would make a good addition to their home.

Karen has been helping get the word out about the small family wineries we feature and their delicious, handcrafted wines for 10 years. Pour her a glass of Sangiovese and she'll tell you her favorite winery stories. You'll often see her with a camera in hand, so put your smile on. If you can't find her behind a camera, you'll find her sailing with her husband and two teen boys.

After joining The California Wine Club, Kay quickly realized how valued the team here is, and hoped she would be a part of it for a very long time. Now after 12 years, she is responsible for all of the purchasing as well as marketing coordination duties including all print material production, print ad production and placement, and direct mail. Chardonnay is her favorite pour, paired with cheese, please. Yoga, hiking, camping with her family and her two dogs (both labs--one yellow, one chocolate) keep her weekends filled with fun.

For 20 years, Michelle has worked with our shippers to get wine deliveries to delighted customers, even during foul weather and the holidays. She loves Pinot Noir paired with Cedar Plank Salmon and, since there is more than one course to a meal, Cabernet Sauvignon with dark chocolate molten lava cake. Girls Day Out with her daughter is one of her favorite things, as well as beach time with her family and playing with her cat-dog (a tabby that loves to play fetch).
Sue has been overseeing the nuts and bolts of the club, from making sure orders are filled correctly to ensuring that the web site is easy to use, since 2002. But her favorite part of the job is meeting the winemakers when they come in to introduce their wines to our staff. Especially if the wines are jammy or peppery reds. She likes gardening and tropical beaches.
