Alexander Reardon

Alexander Reardon is a project engineer at Longman Lindsey. From his time working at Disney, he gained an understanding in providing services that aren't always apparent or visible to customers. He has also worked in vibration isolation and seismic restraint of mechanical equipment. For two years he conducted architectural acoustics research into classroom speech intelligibility; and served another year investigating outdoor concert noise abatement, in which he assisted a community by providing noise recommendations for future concerts. As a musician and mechanical engineer, his passion for acoustics drives him to find a sound solution for his clients. He secured funding and drove his cross-disciplinary Senior Design team to redesign a computer interface, and won two awards for greatest impact upon the project's disabled client. As co-founder of the ASA chapter at Virginia Tech, Alexander has lead the way for young professionals developing expertise in the field of acoustics.

Kristen Stoecker

Kristen Stoecker graduated from Manhattan College, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. She graduated with honors and received minors in both Physics and Mathematics. Her interest in the acoustics field was fueled by her passions for engineering, physics, and music. Kristen enjoys using her mind to solve problems, and readily accepts any challenge. In addition to her engineering skills, Kristen is an avid alto saxophone player who performed with the Manhattan College Jazz Ensemble and Pep Band.

Matthew Rosenthal

Matthew Rosenthal is an associate partner and leads Longman Lindsey's Los Angeles office. Matthew is an acoustical engineer with over a decade of experience. He has worked on a range of facilities including entertainment and performing arts venues, restaurants, academic learning environments, libraries, houses of worship, mixed-use facilities, resorts, residential, commercial offices, and museums. By concentrating on understanding the client's needs, he is able to develop solutions that are constructible, practical, cost appropriate, and respect the architecture of each of his projects. After earning a dual Bachelor's degree from New York University, Matthew received a Master's degree in Music Performance at Yale University. He was also awarded the prestigious Stephen and Denise Adams Family Foundation Scholarship from the Yale School of Music. His love for music and passion for science are evident in his project work.

Michael Sands

He has worked on a wide range of project types including libraries, residential towers, commercial offices and mixed use facilities. He also has extensive experience in medical and research facilities, including design of spaces suited to sensitive equipment associated with such facilities. Michael excels at communicating with and understanding a clients' needs, applying practical solutions to satisfy all facets of design as they apply to both engineering and architecture. Michael earned his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with a concentration in Acoustics from the University of Hartford, graduating with honors. He has previous experience in applying acoustics to the design of nuclear submarines at General Dynamics Electric Boat, where he designed critical operating systems to conform to strict acoustic requirements set forth by the United States Navy.

Patricia Scanlon is a founding partner at Longman Lindsey and an accomplished acoustical engineer with more than 25 years of experience. Prior to Longman Lindsey, Patricia was principal-in-charge of a 20 person acoustical department at another New York based consultancy. Patricia has a passion for proper acoustics in schools, which has led her to be a lecturer interpreting LEED for Schools and ANSI standards on acoustics to educators, designers, and the construction industry. She is an advisor to the New York City School Construction Authority on acoustic standards and has lectured at a joint conference of the Acoustical Society of America and the European Acoustics Association on classroom acoustics, as well as at Greenbuild, the world's largest conference committed to green building.
