Alan has recently joined GPS Marine and Civil Services and is responsible for the performance and subsequent growth of the company. He has been working in the construction industry for over 17 years with experience on large complex rail projects within the UK, demonstrating an ability to lead commercial teams and provide commercial guidance to project managers and other project team members. He is a proactive and practical manager with a firm belief in teamwork and has successfully delivered major projects throughout his career.

John Spencer

John is Group CEO for GPS Marine and MD of GPS Marine Contractors Ltd. John has been involved in coastal shipping, towage, salvage, dredging and marine civil engineering support for over 45 years, having held senior management roles for more that 75% of that time. A lifetime as a contractor in the maritime sector enables John to bring commensurate experience to the GPS Marine and Civil Services Ltd joint venture. In addition to over 100 salvage operations, John has delivered major sub contracts in the SE of the UK on Phases 1 and 2 of the Canary Wharf Development Project, the Medway Tunnel, the Jubilee Line Extension, Cross Rail Eastern Running Tunnels, the Northern Line Extension Project and the Tideway Tunnel Central and Eastern Sections.

Paul Day

Paul is owner and Director of Marine and Civil Services Ltd. A Civil Engineer professional with over 12 years experience gained both in the UK and Australia, he has worked across a number of sectors, including: marine, rail and water treatment. Based in London, Paul has delivered a number of iconic projects, namely Thames Tideway Tunnel, Fulham FC New Riverside Stand, Beckton Desalination Plant, London Bridge Station Redevelopment and Southend Pier Extension. Working his way up from a site engineer to Project Director, he has the practical site experience, complemented with engineering principles and technical knowledge.

Ross Albertyn

Ross is a civil engineer with over 8 years' experience in the marine construction industry across the UK and South Africa. Ross came up as a site engineer working across major port infrastructure projects in South Africa, before moving to the UK in 2016. Since making the move Ross has worked on several port, coastal and river projects across the UK, including spending 4 years on the Thames Tideway Tunnel where he was responsible for the installation of 3 cofferdams into the tidal Thames, as well being involved in tunnelling and civils operations, providing him with a broad understanding across numerous marine and civil sectors.
