Chris Nelson comes to Pipeline Packaging by way of the parent company, Cleveland Steel Container. He started with CSC in 2004 and has served in a variety of positions including Director of Purchasing, Vice President of Operations, and most recently, President and Chief Executive Officer.
Nelson's previous experiences in the automotive and metals industries, along with his extensive experience in both Purchasing and Operations, are valuable assets in guiding Pipeline Packaging into the future. He is passionate about Pipeline's culture of Continuous Improvement and creating an engaging work environment where everyone is focused on creating value for the customer.
Born and raised in Northeast Ohio, Nelson is a life-long (suffering) Browns fan! He and his wife Marcy stay busy raising their five children. He holds an undergraduate degree in Operations Management from Kent State University and a Masters of Business Administration from John Carroll University.

Touring Pipeline Packaging's cavernous warehouse in Glenwillow, Ohio is quite an experience. Walking through the maze of aisles, you're surrounded by every kind of packaging imaginable neatly stacked in towers extending 35 feet in the air. When asked why he likes his job, Chris Parker, warehouse lead, replies "I'm a bit of a neat freak and I like everything to be well organized. All of us on the packaging logistics team have the same tendencies that way." Clearly, Chris has found the right job.
Chris's responsibilities also involve maintaining a steady workflow so that everything comes in and out of the warehouse as seamlessly as possible. This is accomplished thanks to a packaging logistics team of 12 people who are assigned to one of three groups: picking products, unloading, and putting away product or packaging design services.
This year has been one of the busiest ever during Chris's eight years at Pipeline Packaging. "Obtaining products and the unprecedented demand for shipping has been challenging for a lot of businesses," says Chris. "Fortunately, sourcing products, managing inventory, and handling the logistics of packaging and shipping is at the heart of what we do. Customers have leaned on us this year to do the heavy lifting and we're proud to help them," he continued.
Part of that pride stems from the fact that Pipeline Packaging is an employee-owned company. This sense of ownership is evident in the way employees approach customer service. Chris explained, "while each of us has a specific responsibility, that isn't the only thing we do. When a customer needs something, our packaging logistics team works together to take care of each other, and that approach also serves our clients well."

Frank Minjares travels the globe in search of the best products at the best price for Pipeline Packaging's customers. "Finding the right products for our customers is a responsibility that I take very seriously. They depend upon us to have the right packaging solution when and where they need it," says Minjares. That expectation doesn't change despite a pandemic. In fact, it becomes even more important.
When travel ground to a halt, Minjares quickly adapted and began virtual tours of manufacturing facilities to evaluate which vendors had the best mix of products, capacity and a commitment to quality. He explains, "It's remarkable how much you learn during a virtual tour. You can even get a sense of employee morale."
What Minjares enjoys most about his job is the latitude to do what's needed when customers face big obstacles. Recently, Minjares and his colleagues accomplished a tremendous feat when they were able to source an entire product line of bottles under a tight deadline. "There were some hefty countermeasures to get it all done," says Minjares. "It involved a mix of freight, air and ocean. It was a bit like the movie Planes, Trains and Automobiles, the only thing missing was John Candy!"
Minjares' work has taken him to some incredible places on and off the beaten path. When traveling in China he likes Beijing, but equally enjoys meeting the people in less touristy locations where the manufacturing facilities are located. Other favorite locales include Singapore, Japan, Italy, Germany and Sweden. "So many different places, but I still love home the most," says Minjares.

Prior to Pipeline, John has worked at Joann Fabrics, Oatey Company, Compass Health, and most recently with Trademark Global in various Operations roles.
John has extensive experience with improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the teams he has led by implementing warehouse management systems (WMS) and developing key performance metrics. In addition, he has experience managing transportation operations/spend and has had responsibility for mergers and acquisition integration activities.

His 30+ years of experience in B2B and B2C manufacturing and distribution environments are an asset as Pipeline continues to focus on product and market expansions. Tom understands the importance of creating great cross-functional teams where ongoing communication and collaboration are essential in creating customer value.
