Founded in 1986, the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit research and educational organization that develops medical, legal, and cultural contexts for people to benefit from the careful uses of psychedelics and marijuana... Since the beginning, we've been dedicated to sharing what we learn and create. We believe that sharing our work with the world is a necessary element for accomplishing our goal of bringing mental healing to the masses... MAPS has incubated what will likely be the first psychedelic-assisted therapy to obtain government approval in the US. Thanks to our community of supporters and dedicated team, we have been able to spread this playbook widely, develop groundbreaking psychedelic education, and host the largest gathering of the Psychedelic Renaissance. Ultimately, we aim to end drug prohibition everywhere and unlock the healing potential of psychedelics for all who seek their benefit.
