Alex is a Seneca native and enjoyed growing up in Oconee County. Alex attended the College of Charleston, where he earned his baccalaureate in business administration. He spent several years after college as a manager for an intermodal trucking company in Charleston. Prior to 2008, he managed as many as 120 drivers, before the trucking industry was hit by the recession. The latter half of 2008 was spent calling drivers and sharing the unfortunate news that there would be no more work for them. It was during this troublesome time that Alex realized how important each financial decision can be and how a widespread economic recession can wreak havoc on individuals, business owners, and families. Shortly thereafter, Alex found a career in the field of investment management and financial planning that seemed to match his mindset and skills more accurately. Alex currently holds his FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities registrations through Commonwealth Financial Network®, the South Carolina life insurance license, and maintains the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification. Alex also holds a Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in Corporate and Investment Real Estate from Coastal Carolina University In addition to his pursuit of knowledge and education, Alex is tremendously involved in the community. He serves as the District 3 representative on the Oconee County Planning Commission. He also serves as the treasurer for the Blue Ridge Arts Council and the Foothills Farmstead.
